Bluebird Foundation Hosts Annual Holiday Celebration and Scholarship Awards Event
Duluth, MN – December 2, 2024 – The Bluebird Foundation invites the community to its annual holiday celebration and scholarship awards event this Thursday, December 5, at the Clyde Ironworks Event Center in Duluth. The festivities run from 5 PM to 9 PM, offering an evening of holiday cheer, live entertainment, and recognition of young talent in the performing arts.
Highlights of the evening include:
• Live Music Performances: Featuring Tom O’Hara, Rickey Lee Biggs, Bing Allen and the Manhattans, Croon Juice, and Tom Cawcutt Sr.
• Silent Auction: Bid on unique items to support the foundation’s mission.
• Interactive Activities: Gaming tables provided by Sounds Unlimited and a photo booth by Euphoric Entertainment.
• Release of the Annual Christmas by the Lake CD: A Northland holiday tradition featuring 16 songs by local artists, available as a collector’s CD. Pre-orders for a limited-edition vinyl version, delayed due to international shipping issues, will also be accepted.
Recognizing Excellence in the Arts
At the heart of the evening is the presentation of the Audrey A. Lundeen Scholarship, a $2,500 award honoring an outstanding student pursuing a career in the performing arts. Additionally, four $500 grants will be awarded, including:
• The Patrick Perfetti Music Excellence Award
• The Jim Putnam Award, sponsored by the Cloquet Eagles Club Aerie #1163
• The Cloquet Eagles Club Aerie #1163 Award
• The Charles "Chuck" Main Percussion Award
Since 2014, the Bluebird Foundation has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships and grants, championing the growth of young artists and their pursuit of careers in performing and culinary arts.
