If you've seen a live band in Dubuque over the past couple decades, there is a good chance you saw Dave Haas there, taking photos. Dave passed away this week. He had been posting updates on his unplanned visit to Iowa City, dealing with heart problems.

We have seen hundreds of tributes online for Dave this morning. The feeling is the same with everybody in the Tri-State area. It wasn't just his cool pics that people liked...it was him. Dave greeted everyone with a smile, and if time, always glad to talk. He'll be missed.

Actress Linda Lavin, who played Alice on this popular late 70s - early 80s sitcom has passed away. She was 87.

Definitely not a "kids" show, but I watched it all the time when I was young. Was it because back then, there were only a few channels to choose from? I barely remember anything about it, except the owner/cook was always grumpy, and the blonde said, "kiss my grits"

Close game yesterday, but thankfully I wasn't one of the 1/10 adults who have broken their smartphone during a sporting event. Had little hope while watching the game yesterday.

I've got a lot of buddies who are Vikings fans, and I'm really hoping this is their year. Team is solid!
