New Episode! Season 3 kicks off with quite possibly our best episode ever. There comes a time in a man's life when he needs to stop making people. That moment recently came for Andy, and naturally Tyler and Kevin decided to chaperone the whole experience. Derek had work or something, he will regret not being there to his dying breath.

The car ride there, tailgating in the hospital parking lot, spitballing vasectomy-related business ideas, telling stories of all the dumb stuff Kevin did during his vasectomy...if you're not excited about this episode then we probably shouldn't hang out.

Specifically, how our kids cannot handle them at all and make the process of keeping any kind of secret/surprise from them a total nightmare for the whole family. Season Premiere! The long wait is over.

First of all, new theme music by our very own - it’s a banger.

This episode centers on a conversation we've been having a lot lately: how do I take care of myself while I'm taking care of all of these other people? How do I ask for help? Do I still get to have needs even though all of these shorter people living in my house spend all day yelling their needs at me?

But you know us - it's not all heavy. Tyler tries to make the whole episode about classic rock, Derek talks about an eight year old who wanted to fight him, Andy's nephew makes a strange artistic request for the cast on his forearm, and Kevin complains a lot. Like a LOT.

Season finale! Podcasts are doing "seasons" now, and we're not trying to get left out so guess what? SEASON FINALE.

So many questions left unanswered for next season. Will they? Won't they? Who shot Mr. Burns? Will these guys ever stop talking over each other (no)? Can Derek keep raising the stakes for his weird intros (yes)?

Also we talk about sports, and how to be a good sports dad. Andy tells us about his first fight, and clearly misremembers how cool he was. Kevin tries not to resent his kid for not being as into sports as he is. Tyler talks about peeing his pants on third base and injuring several 10 year olds. Derek is on the podcast too.

Has anyone played with the Rainbow Volcano box yet? You might love the whole vibe (turn your living room into a board game that is basically what would happen if “True American” (from New Girl) and “the floor is lava” had a baby). We mostly see it as a vehicle to include some sweet island puns.

Well guys, we're actually doing this thing. We're still a few months away, but we're building something that we think really matters. A subscription box for dads, filled with fun stuff to do with your kids. Not crafts, not STEM learning, not stuff your kid likes but you don't -- stuff that is fun for dads. We're also going to try to have a real conversation about being dads, and stay away from the tropes we're all tired of (dads are dumb, dads "babysit," dads complain about their kids too much). Being a dad is hilarious and frustrating and exhilirating and sometimes kinda boring - all of those things at once. We're figuring it out as we go, but we're excited.
