Last week we had a major hail storm in Henly. We have folks from all over the US and most of them agreed they have never seen hail so big ! 5.5”. Unfortunately many have totaled out cars and are dealing with insurance claims. Hail went through windows, skylights, sun roofs. We have a wonderful team who have been assisting our folks since Thursday - shuttling them to drop off vehicles at repair shops and assisting in many ways. We also have a few who live here, volunteering their time & expertise by helping their neighbors who are physically unable to get on roofs and patch holes. We have an amazing community here at Henly. A local business owner, Stephanie with Drippin Paint and Body also came out to help folks ! Thankful for our neighbors and community.

Hays County residents repair damage from baseball-sized hail that pummeled RVs and cars Thursday night as Monday's rain delays clean-up efforts.

We're less than two weeks away from the 2023 Annular Eclipse that will move across some of South-Central Texas. The path of annularity will be about 125 miles wide with those in the path seeing the "ring of fire" effect for up to 5 minutes. We'll be keeping an eye on cloud cover!

Over the next six months, Texas will be the only state to witness not one, but two solar eclipses!
In just about two weeks, there will be an annular solar eclipse on Oct. 14, 2023, and the total solar eclipse is happening on April 8, 2024!
