The Tigers traded reliever Chase Lee to the Blue Jays for minor league left-handed reliever Johan Simon, opening up a spot on the 40-man roster.

Lee started off pitching well for Detroit, but finished with a 4.10 ERA in 32 games with the Tigers, collecting nine walks and 36 strikeouts in 37.1 innings.
