Not much of a picture of what you’re looking for but smoked cheese and a brisket. Crew change delayed. Smoked cheese is the shiznit if you haven’t tried it. 2nd time this time home. 3rd time using smoker. Filled it up about 10 days ago with mackerel.

Found a few this morning on the nicest day in the gulf this whole time at home. I double checked the regs as we had a double hookup the last fish and found out the limit is now three per person. Cigar minnows were biting really good. Got about 150 in no time. Back at the house at 1200 to pick up Sasha BD and Nikolas to go back out fishing, for Mother’s Day.

Went to Henderson beach at 0600, with my Dad. Started off with a nice redfish 28” then nothing but HAtails. Came back to the house and got the boat. Went and caught some small redfish and a few trout. Back at the house at 1200 and bought some crawfish for dinner.

The old man and I hit the bluefish hole this morning from 10:00 to 11:00 for some fresh fish to go with the shrimp.

First boil of the season for me. Last year I got 6 sacks (late season) for the same price as I paid for these. Rednecks like crawfish 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyone want a free surf cart frame? I’ve had it for 15+ years finally got me a 4x4 cart . Used the wheels and axles off old to make the new one work. It’s definitely not a looker, but it worked for me for a long time. Going on the street on Friday if not. There is an axle that came off the new cart, looks like you could make it fit and also comes with the new rubber tires that came with the new cart, which are too big for my dolly.
New cart is pictured. Already had two 42” and one 30” wheelezz so just got one more 30” wheelezz, considering the cost of them.

No picture.
Caught 8 sheepshead today. Planned on staying longer, but as I flipped the last sheepshead out of the net, he landed on a vein and my foot started squirting blood about 12” and couldn’t get it to stop. Jeff handed me the boat sponge and some rubber bands. I proceeded to fish for about 30 more minutes, then felt light headed and laid down. We wrapped up fishing and I got an updated Tetanus shot and some antibiotics. Wearing shoes next time I suppose. Been wearing flip flops so I can go catch the bait.

Installed a Garmin 743 on the whaler today. That way when I don’t go live scoping, I won’t have to bring the 12” screen just to see water depth, or a new area. Definitely turned out amazing! It perfectly covered 4 old holes of non-working gauges from last outboard.

Son and I caught 10 flounder. Unfortunately only 1 keeper. Took the 13’ Dauntless in the gulf and handled like it always has. I’ll post the video when I have time.

I tried fishing a few times. Crappie, it was raining the whole time I was fishing. Didn’t catch any. I’m guessing they were still in the bushes. I troll center of the lake. Trout, caught 33 trolling Choctawhatchee river 30 November. Not video worthy. Mostly small ones. Flounder, went to Okaloosa island pier 12/01, caught one 8”er, then it was raining. Lots of rain this time home. Played with the new go pro hero 12, will upload if worthy. Back to work 12/06, hopefully better weather next time home. May tackle some issues on the 25’ Bertram while it’s not so hot.
