August 13th, 2024 - Celebrating 47 Years of Brotherhood and Friendship

Today marks 47 years since I made the best decision of my life. On August 13th, 1977, I crossed the burning sands and became a Que. The journey wasn’t easy—far from it. Many desire and aspire to be part of this brotherhood, but only a few acquire it. The path was lined with challenges that tested my resolve, but I knew in my heart that I was meant to endure, to persevere, and to rise.

I remember it like it was yesterday—pledging for the second time with 7 other brothers, all of whom eventually quit. But I couldn’t let go of the dream. I dropped the line once, only to get back on the next semester. Determination was my companion, and I wasn't letting anything deter me from my goal. As "Professor Perseverance" of Beta Upsilon, I embraced every challenge and kept my eyes on the prize.

Today, I stand tall, surrounded by the bonds of Brotherhood that have only grown stronger over the years. This is more than just a fraternity; it is a family, a support system, a legacy of strength, loyalty, and love. We’ve shared victories and defeats, joys and sorrows, always lifting each other up and reminding each other of the power that comes from unity.

To my brothers, both near and far, thank you for 47 years of unwavering friendship. Our bond is eternal, and our purpose is clear: to continue to uplift, inspire, and serve.
