Still days out but it is starting to seem a little more likely that south Texas could feel some of the effects from Beryl. Right now it looks like. The landfall will be south of the border. The track of Beryl could still change over the next few days so it will be worth watching.

Hurricane Beryl will continue to move west-northwestward while gradually weakening over the next several days toward Jamaica and the Yucatan Peninsula. The forecast uncertainty then increases as Beryl enters and moves across the Southwestern Gulf of Mexico this weekend. Nonetheless, expect for increasing coastal impacts at area Texas beaches and check back for the latest forecast updates.

Another day another severe weather risk. There is an enhanced risk of severe weather but these will be more numerous than yesterday. Main threats are very large hail could be up to softball size and damaging winds. The tornado risk is low but not zero storms look to fire up roughly around 3-4 pm. We will post more updates as they come in.

Another round of scattered storms are expected to develop near and along a stationary boundary this afternoon and evening. Many will likely remain dry, but if storms develop they will likely become strong to severe. The primary threats are very large hail and damaging wind gusts. We will also need to monitor the potential for excessive rainfall and localized flash flooding since the bulk of this rain is expected to fall over already water-logged areas.

Not Texas but just Incase you are traveling north or have family in Oklahoma/Kansas. The SPC is upgrading the risk for a good portion of Oklahoma in to Southern Kansas. A pretty significant severe weather outbreak is expected to start this evening and into the over night hours. Multiple intense long track tornadoes and giant hail will be possibly. As for the Texas side of this we could see a few strong to severe storms bust best chances for this is right along the Red River, main threats are large hail and damaging winds but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. We will update as the day moves along but this could be a very dangerous day for some.
