The Des Moines Public Schools has filed to transfer the license of KDPS, 88.1 FM, and It is currently under review at the FCC. The new operator will be "Community Broadcasting, Inc.," from Bott Broadcasting based in Kansas which has a national network that typically programs evangelical Christian teaching programs. The new operator has asked for the call letters KCVD-FM.

It's a sad end to the over 50 years of educational broadcasting from the Des Moines Public Schools and Grand View was part of that for over 30 of those years. The high school radio students and some portions of Kids Radio Mania will hopefully continue to air on KDPScentral.streamon.fm.
