Black Student Alliance partnered with other campus groups for a Black History Month event. The War and the Human Experience speaker series brought in Vietnam Veteran Tony Marshall, one of only seven Black cadets in his Air Force Academy class of 1000, to speak with students, staff, and faculty. BSA and the Diversity Commission provided samples of mac and cheese, cornbread, and collard greens with smoked turkey among other items. also helped staff tables displayed various Black history information and giveaways.

A huge thank you to the nursing program and surgical technology program for creating blankets, hats, pillows, and bags for the homeless in the Des Moines area! They are saving material that would otherwise be thrown in the landfill and turning it into treasure!

Celebrate Latino Heritage Month with us! The Latino Club will have several different activities to celebrate. Today from 10am - 1pm they are giving away free pan dulce.
Sept. 25th they will have papel, picado, and popcorn.
Oct. 2nd baila conmigo.
Also Latino cuisines at the supporting restaurants on slide seven are having deals on lunches and dinner in celebration!
