Our community has been hit hard with a couple of tragic losses over the past few weeks. A couple of our youngest community members sadly lost their lives too soon. Our Firefighters and E.M.S. Providers join our community members in supporting the families during this difficult time. We also continue to stand by those who are still fighting courageous battles.

On Tuesday night, our station will be lit purple to remember those lost over the past few weeks and show support for those still fighting.

Outstanding job by BCSO's own Deputy Mike Reksc, who was spotted walking a young Deposit student to her Nanaโ€™s house when her after-school activities were canceled and she began walking home in the rain.

Sheriff Fred Akshar said, โ€œCouldnโ€™t be prouder of Deputy Mike Reksc. An ultimate display of kindness, humanity and most importantly service above self. Our deputies are the absolute best!"

A special Thank You to resident Luke Tucker, who we learned had stopped and provided Deputy Reksc a ride back to his patrol car.
