Today was a meaningful day for our team as we volunteered with Food For Thought - Denver, packing thousands of PowerSacks for kids in need. Every sack is a step toward ensuring no child faces hunger, and we believe deeply in this mission. This week, Illuminate Colorado joined forces with Food for Thought, providing information about Circle of Parents Colorado — a supportive, free group for parents and caregivers. Raising children isn’t easy, but with support, it’s possible to help them reach their full potential. Together, we’re building a stronger community. In 2023, the Art Students League of Denver launched their 'Youth Violence Prevention Through Art' program with support from the Get Grounded Foundation. Thanks to this grant, ASLD brought in visiting artists and introduced new media like screen printing and iPad tools. The program culminated in a powerful community mural created by students, leaving a lasting mark on their neighborhood.

What a night! As gala season winds down, we were honored to attend two amazing events supporting two of our clients: Child Advocates - Denver CASA's End of Summer Soiree and Tennyson Center for Children's Q & Groove. At Q & Groove, we soaked up a live performance by rising star Jonah Kagen at Mile High Station. We also celebrated with Denver CASA at Ellie Caulkins Opera House. A fun surprise of the night was walking away with a personalized whiskey tasting hosted by Jake Norris, founding head distiller at current GFM|CenterTable client Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey and Laws Whiskies.

As longtime partners and volunteers with both organizations focused on making Colorado a better place for children and families, we’re proud to support the incredible work they do in our community.

Cheers to a fantastic night at IMA’s Party on the Plaza! Last night, Denver’s Union Station was the scene of quite the block party, complete with dedicated ping pong players in their most imaginative costumes to compete in this annual tournament! Hats off to our partners and friends at IMA Financial Group for raising money for local nonprofits supporting youth advancement, arts & culture and education.

Last night, we were honored to be recognized at the ColoradoBiz 2024 Top 100 Women-Owned Companies awards celebration. For over two decades, ColoradoBiz Magazine has celebrated the powerful impact of women in Colorado’s business landscape and we are proud to be a part of this community.

A big congratulations to all the amazing companies recognized, including our friends at Taloma Partners and Aspen Academy. Thank you, ColoradoBiz, for shining a light on the incredible work women are doing across our state.

This weekend, three of our amazing teammates, Kathleen Deal, Evie Witty, and Lyn Schneider, joined forces to WIN the TriBoulder Long Course Boulder Beast Triathlon relay! Their strength and enthusiasm shine both on the track and in the office, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Our grant cycle is now OPEN! Since its inception in 2015, the Get Grounded Foundation has awarded over $450,000 through 112 microgrants to support programs dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, addressing childhood food insecurity and promoting youth mental health in the Denver and Boulder metro areas.

As we reflect on this past year, our team’s dedication to volunteering and giving back has shone brightly. From Amy packing boxes at Food Bank of the Rockies, to Ben, Lyn and Becky helping Sweet Dreams in a Bag — we love seeing our colleagues and friends make a difference.

Our Get Grounded Volunteer Program has provided team members with up to four hours per month of paid time for volunteering for nonprofits, schools or other 501(c)(3) organizations. In addition, GFM|CenterTable matches all volunteer hours by donating $10 per hour, up to $400 for each team member per calendar year, to the charities for which team members volunteer their time.

As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we also marked the one-year anniversary of the loss of our founder’s son, Sam Aden, to su***de. The Sam Love & Kindness Fund was created in his honor to support youth mental health awareness and provide critical mental health support for children. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have successfully raised more than $360,000. The Get Grounded Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID # 46-5125610), proudly oversees Sam’s Fund and 100% of donations raised go directly toward supporting youth mental health programs. In the past year, we honored Sam and all other children struggling with their own mental health by:

• Granting funds to seven organizations that dedicate their time to work with amazing kids and families like Sam who struggle to find peace.

• Launching the annual “Random Acts of Sam-ness Day” – where more than 75 friends and family participated in spreading kindness in Colorado, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, California, Texas, Egypt, Copenhagen, Brazil and beyond!

• Hitting the slopes at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area and raising over $10,000 during the inaugural “Sam's Day of Stoke." Those funds were gifted as a special grant to Mind the Mountain - a film series about mental health in the mountain communities.

• Distributing hundreds of hand-painted “Love & Kindness” garden sticks, designed by the talented KnucklePrints Art & Photography by Tif Lester, placed all over the world to remind people to choose kindness. Always.

We were thrilled to support the CO4Kids Resource Fair at the Denver Zoo, hosted by our valued clients at the Colorado Department of Human Services and the Colorado Department of Early Childhood. A big thank you to Wosom-Wosom Training and Consultation Services, Artisti-CO, and Jammin' DJs-Colorado for providing education and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. It was uplifting to see so many families learning about available resources from more than 40+ partners at this Child Abuse Prevention Month event.

For 17 years we’ve been proud to call LoDo and Denver’s Ballpark District home. There’s nothing quite like a ballgame at Coors Field, and that’s why we’re closing our office to celebrate another year of Rockies baseball. From everyone at GFM|CenterTable, happy Opening Day! We’ll be back in the office on Monday, ready to knock it out of the park for our clients.

Sometimes you need to head southwest to find your true north.

We first hit the SXSW scene in 2011 and each year we land in Austin, we are inspired by the trends and emerging technology but also reminded of the importance of fostering connections and creativity in uncertain times.

Speakers underscored the value of authenticity and risk-taking in building brands and generating audience enthusiasm and loyalty — especially when present-day consumers are savvier and more skeptical than ever.

Get stoked! Sam’s Day of Stoke is Friday, January 19th and we’re hitting the slopes to honor Sam Aden. Want to join us? We’ll be at ‘The Beach’ and on the mountain from 7 am - 5 pm.

We're suggesting a $50 dollar donation per attendee, with 100% of all funds raised being allocated to nonprofits in neighboring mountain communities supporting youth behavioral and mental health.
