This Sunday's edition of Salsa con Jazz will feature a posthumous tribute to a very overlooked and underrated musician, Enrique Bonne of Santiago de Cuba who passed earlier this week at 98 years of age. We will also debut several new 2025 releases, mix in some classics and have our weekly birthday salutes.

This week's birthday celebrants include: "Señor Caravan"-Puerto Rican trombonist Juan Tizol, Eartha Kitt who sang with Pérez Prado, the pianist-director of the legendary 1958 Cuban Jam Sessions, Julio Gutiérrez, the pioneer percussionist of the songo rhythm-Los Van Van's José Luis Quintana-Changuito, and a few others.
