A couple new machines are joining the family! We plan on getting them refurbished and refitted with some modern tech later this year and will hopefully be able to offer some additional cool services in the near future.

For the printers we plan on housing them in the community darkroom space that we're putting together so independent film artists can come and personally use some of the printers for their projects!

One Moment, a Colorado short film production shooting 35mm, is moments away from reaching their goal! The film presents the human story of connection, spontaneity, and seizing a moment before it slips away.

The Negative Space is very proud to provide lab services for One Moment. Aiden Hurley is a passionate force in the industry, dedicated to shooting 35mm whenever possible, and we are happy to help!

This is the story of a young barista who learns what it means to take hold of a moment from a strange woman across the way who reflects on her past. With themes centered around Carpe Diem and the spontaneity of life, our team is committed to producing this meaningful story to its highest potential.

On January 19th a new restoration for the film "What About Me" by Rachel Amodeo will be available on the Criterion Channel. 4K scanning, restoration, timing, and mastering provided by me! Please watch it!

For January, the Channel will feature films from Alfred Hitchcock, Niki Lindroth von Bahr, Elisabeth Subrin, and more!

A little taste of the fall color here in Colorado. Shot on my Super16 Bolex and scanned at 6.5K HDR on the Lasergraphics. Basic color correction applied

I am currently waiting to get the Bolex serviced due to some frame instability, which you can see here, but I have also acquired a REX-5 that will be converted and used as my new primary camera. The old one will likely become available for rental to anyone wanting to shoot with these (increasingly) hard to find and somewhat expensive cameras

Finally got my hands on a Super16 Bolex, so I promptly went on a short hike as an excuse to play around with it. It's been a long time since I've shot with a Bolex, but I always enjoy the process!

Scanned at 6.5K resolution on my Lasergraphics system with a quick and basic color correction. This is an uncut roll, so nothing has been removed in editing and there is no sound on the video (just couldn't decide on anything). Be sure to watch in 4K if possible!
