One man's life spanned a century of Jewish history.

Yitzhak Ben-Hebron survived the 1929 Hebron massacre as a young child, witnessed the destruction of his community, and later returned to help rebuild Jewish life in the city he loved. With his passing at age 100, the last known eyewitness to one of the most significant chapters in modern Jewish history is gone, but his story remains.

A Texas congressional primary race drew national attention after candidate Maureen Galindo made widely condemned anti-Semitic remarks targeting Zionists and Jewish Americans.

On Tuesday, Democratic voters chose Sheriff’s Deputy Johnny Garcia as their nominee for Texas’ 35th Congressional District following weeks of criticism from Jewish organizations, elected officials, and national leaders across the political spectrum.

Many Jewish leaders are viewing the election result as a sign that antisemitism and hateful rhetoric still cross a line for voters.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani vetoed a bill that would have created "security perimeters" around schools to prevent obstruction and intimidation. He said the measure raised concerns about limiting protest and organizing rights. The bill passed the City Council but did not have enough support to override the veto.

A similar bill focused on houses of worship passed with a veto-proof majority. Supporters say the school measure would protect students, while critics worry about its impact on free speech.
