and this is my story. On May 9th after 2 months of Corona virus quarantine, I returned to my part-time job at the Michael's Arts and Crafts Store. Things were different when we all went back, we all had to have our temperatures taken when we arrive for duty, we had to wear our masks at all times and gloves, social distance and cleaning is our first middle and last most important tasks to keep all of us safe. But most importantly everyone looks a bit differently, well take a look & see what happened to my store manager, the other store supervisors, my husband, & co-workers...it's positively AMAZING! This video is a tribute to all of them! They are truly SUPER HEROES! Give us a LIKE and subscribe!

A FUN Little History Lesson. Happy 140th Birthday Frances Perkins! This video is for educational purposes only and no copyright infringement intended for the purposes of sharing information about this historical US figure, Frances Perkins.
I was honored to play her in the local musical Annie by a talented local community theater group, .Performance NOW Take a minute and watch my little tribute video to her. For more on her life and work, go to http://francesperkinscenter.org/. This film and photos are from the US National Archives. Background music tracks provided with professional license by Animoto.
She was our first female cabinet member ever. Women had only been voting for about a dozen years when she was appointed by FDR as Secretary of Labor. She was also the longest serving cabinet member ever too. One of the things that stood out about her approach to getting things done. She never looked at a person through their political party. She was very much aware of political party ideals, but had many, many friends from both parties otherwise the programs that are still intact today would not still be here. She was a true negotiator. Happy Birthday Frances and thank you for everything you did for my generation's future. Here is a good question for anyone who takes a minute to watch this video, what have you been doing while social distancing during the recent pandemic and isolating all this time? Maybe working on something for future generations to benefit from?

No wonder I've had difficulty with my diet choices all my adult life. This explains it now. A co-worker pointed out how many different kinds of printed information was at our magazine rack at work and we had a good chuckle over the messaging, Is it a wonder? We eat the sweets to satisfy our cravings and then work to fix what we just ate because it wasn't so great for us. Then we read about why we did what we did or should have done in the first place. No wonder I stay in a state if confusion.

Most of the time, I am the most positive person you will ever meet, however, yesterday, after experiencing a rather challenging and negative day, I got STUCK in a negative muck mind-set and to dig myself out of the MUCK! I admit it, I was totally stuck so I knew I needed to get unstuck and I made this artsy infinitive zoom technique video to describe how I felt to the song Mad World cover by (SAAA arr. Julie Gaulke)
I don’t always feel this way but sometimes I do and I just shut off from the world and make videos to deflect. It somehow helps me get through digging out of the darker emotions like sadness. I have learned to tackle sadness and negative emotions with some pretty unique tools. I am fortunate to have video editing talents as a tool to help me when I feel this way.
We all experience ups and downs as humans for various reasons and maybe even sometimes the emotions that the words of the song describe. And maybe some of us experience the words more often than others. How about you? What do you do when you get stuck?
