I understand that the social media powers that be have a moral obligation to monitor the going’s-on of their platform. But not once did I hear anything about holding the perpetrators responsible. Who are these men that are sending unsolicited n**e photos to children? Were they held accountable in that courtroom? I find it interesting that the research subjects in question were girls, not boys. Typical of who is being targeted. But that’s not Zuckerberg’s fault. Hell, the “man” that will probably win the next election was just held liable for s*xual violence. Why do men do these things? Because they get away with it. I bet if you questioned every man in that courtroom, more than half would be guilty of sending a dick pic, cat-calling a woman, telling her to smile, or thinking quietly, or even out loud, that she’s a bitch if she wasn’t polite to a “compliment”. Yes, these powers that be need to step it up, but to all the men out there...so do you.

“So, Amy. What’s your story?”

Amy became aware of how she must look. She had no makeup on, her hair was greasy and pulled back, and her clothes looked like she had come from flea-market shopping on a Sunday afternoon. Not being one for small talk, most of her encounters that began with a drink at the bar ended up naked, sweaty, and sticky, with the only talking being that of the dirty kind. She had no intentions of this encounter ending that way. Despite being unable to actually look at him, he sure was pretty to look at.

“No story. Just out for a cocktail.”

“All alone? On Valentine’s Day? You’re much too beautiful for that.”

Amy rolled her eyes.
Here we go.

“Never was into the hype. To be honest, I kind of forgot.”

I’ve been a little too preoccupied today to think about it.

Amy shrugged, taking her last gulp as the bartender brought over two frosty martini glasses filled with just the right hue of green tinged briny vodka.

“Well, to Valentine’s Day.” Reaching in to hand Amy her drink, he knocked it over, spilling it onto the bar top."
