Sounds like some of the big companies are starting to do the right thing. Don't be a useful idiot to the machine. I belive that black lives DO matter, but I don't believe in the hate that Facebook has spawned. If you are on the left, you are being used. That is why Facebook and Instagram are losing these companies. All those stories about a Russian disinformation campaign were really a Chinese disinformation campaign. Projection is real.

This is why we should all be supporting City of Denton Police Department. Chief Frank Dixon submitted a use-of-force change to the City Council. That is a rare and unprecedented move from any professional, much less, the head of the police force.

In this video one of our marchers stirs up a little trouble with the Christian men on the microphone. Later, we get to talk to a Pastor of a local church in support of Black Lives Matter and his wife along with their two friends.

06/07/2020

In this video we catch up with the marchers and hear from Queen Janata Montgomery and . We get an interview with the Texas rapper and ask learn a little bit about his own upbringing in Denton.

06/07/2020

Today we got back out on the square for some more interactions with the group of Christians and their microphone. We talked with the Denton voter registrars and met a group of young people who were supporting the movement.

06/06/2020

In part two of yesterday's protest we catch the last two groups of people marching towards the square. We hear from Queen Janata Montgomery and Denton's sweetheart, Jennifer Lane.

We got updates for the upcoming days of protests:

Saturday will be a 3pm protest at the square for kids being kept inside of cages near the border of Mexico. At 6pm we will meet again to protest racial injustice and list new demands. Lastly, Sunday night we will hold a sit-in on the square overnight. We'll be there when the city wakes up to show them how important this is to all of us.

06/06/2020

In this video we take some time out to change a man's opinion and we get a chance to interview another family.

06/06/2020

In our second video of the protests on Thursday we get to finally talk with Azaria, a young girl out here leading her community. She was full of passion and had a lot to say about it. We follow the protest down around town and catch some of the support in the community from all angles.

06/06/2020

In this video we meet more protesters and witness someone against the movement being talked to and eventually changing their mind in support of the protests. I think clear communication and understanding from either side will be crucial in getting the message out! Hope you guys enjoy!

Ok guys, I'm legitimately tired now. It is nearly 5am in the morning and I have slept very little in the last week. I am making progress with getting these videos out. We are streamlining the process to make the voices in Denton, TX heard. This is one of the most progressive towns in the country and no, progressive doesn't JUST mean liberal. It means a different way of thinking. In this video we get to hear from some amazing speakers who have that different thought-process. We hear from Queen J herself, Janata. We also hear from a young woman who reads a poem she wrote while her boyfriend cheers her on. One of the last speakers was a 17 year-old girl who was as passionate as any of her older counterparts. I love doing this for our city guys and gals and every one in-between, but I am exhausted. I had been messing up the sound on my camera for the last week and my buddy Jaredy Henry came out and saved our sound for the upcoming days. I am not a cameraman or an editor, I am a musician normally. I am doing my best to get better at all of this and learn how to do it more efficiently, I ask for your patience. We are all new to this way of life. I am doing my best to find a place where I can help. Thank you to everyone who continues to come out and show support to our brothers and sisters. I love each and every person I meet out here and I can't express how impressed I am with this town. Keep being you Denton!

In part two of today's protests I met up with two brothers and had a great conversation with them. They taught me how I should focus more on promoting the cause we as a country are promoting and have less outside conversations, so I took their advice. I also got another few interviews including one with a young boy named Jack. This kid cracked me up and had a great grasp on the world. I hope everyone is enjoying seeing these. Seeing my community come together like this fills me with hope.

06/04/2020

In this video we get to meet some great supporters of our local Denton community. We also got a great interview with an aunt and her niece. Another young person in our community who has life more figured out than most.

06/03/2020

In this last video we hear from two great speakers including Madam Janata Montgomery and Sir Julian Carter. The crowd was charged up and rightfully so after what they were put through yesterday. Racism came out and showed its ugly face here in Denton, TX.

The last interview of the evening was with a mother and daughter. The 12-year-old girl had more wisdom in her little body than many of those men that we talked to earlier. We could all do well to listen to her.

06/03/2020

In this video we meet a FUN group of Christians. I talk a little much at one point, but then we meet our racist young friend. His friends sell him out and tell me what he said, then we catch him laughing after being shown proof of a time he used a racial slur.

Lastly, we get another awesome interview with the City of Denton Police Department's own Chief Frank Dixon. I wanted to speak on him for a minute though. I hope everyone recognizes that he is our last line of defense between peace and violence. He is the last line of defense between us and an unjust system. When I see some good in the world, I want to shine a light on it. He is the prime example of what we need in the United States as a police officer and as a leader.

06/03/2020

In this video we catch a few interviews with some awesome young women. We also speak with one of the Christian religious leaders using their microphones to drown out the protetsters. He was very kind compared to the next men that we talked to from that same group (more in the next video).

A racist white male appears!

The young man first shows his face in this video and it was clear that he was looking for a fight. He walks by the camera a few times in this one and kept looking at it, he was preparing for his moment to be on camera. Don't worry, we got him talking on camera in the next one.

06/03/2020

In this video we catch up with the Assistant Coach and Head Coach of the University of North Texas Basketball team. We got some footage of the first march and also an older white gentlemen who was in favor of keeping the monument. He kept it civil, but then his buddy shows up... Just wait for the next part in a little while. Things got a little more heated right after this.

06/03/2020

Another day of Marching took place yesterday. Even though we didn't have the numbers from Tuesday, there were still around 500 people, and we needed them. There were many who came out yesterday and were angry that the protests were still going on. They want us to give up already! This is isn't going to stop just because they want it. Catalyst TV is dedicated to this movement and will continue to cover every single day of protests that Denton wants to hold.

In this first video we get to talk to some young people and older people. We got our first look of someone who wanted to instigate during an interview by saying, "white lives matter," and quickly walking away. Later in the video we track him down and ask him how he feels. He didn't seem to know what he was thinking or how to articulate his point, but I'll let that interview speak for itself. Get to know this community, we are leading the world.

06/03/2020

Got tons of footage from tonight. We'll be working on them to release in the morning. Hope to see everyone in support of this movement tomorrow.

06/02/2020

Finally finished editing all of our footage from tonight at the protests. It is 6am now and I am exhausted. In this video we got the protesters after curfew. Tonight Denton, TX showed what power in numbers truly means. The Mayor implemented a curfew that many said was wrong to do. The people came out and showed more unity than I have ever seen in my life and I am inspired by it. This generation is speaking up for years of injustices and we are being heard. We got to listen in on an awesome conversation at the end with an officer of the City of Denton Police Department. I believe he said his name was Officer Hall, but he was so great and I really want to thank him for speaking to everyone. The professionalism maintained by our Police Department and the non-violent protesting made for a perfect day to honor so many people of color who have died senseless deaths at the hands of systemic racism and to remember that we should never be quiet again.

06/02/2020

In this video we got interviews with many Denton locals. I keep hearing how there were people from out of town, but everywhere I looked I saw people that I knew. One of the interviews we got happened to be the cousin of DJ Tarver and nephew of Kevin Tarver, the speaker from the first video.

06/02/2020

In this video we get an interview with City of Denton Police Department Chief of Police Frank Dixon and Assistant Chief Bobby Smith. We ran into local Chef-extraordinaire Lavan Maddox and got an interview during the march. We also caught up with the rap group, Global Octopus and got an interview with one of the members, BlackFace Alien.

Support our brothers and sisters of color who experience systemic and unjust racism every day.

06/02/2020

In this video we got to speak with a few people handing out waters and later heard from some amazing speakers, including DJ Tarver's father. It is awesome to see this younger generation speaking out against injustice in our society. This correction is long overdue.

Do your best to remember these names. They are only a few of many who have been killed due to institutionalized racism.

I also want to thank the City of Denton Police Department as much as that may bother some people. The Chief told me around 7:30pm today that he guessed the turnout was somewhere around 2000 people. Later I heard reports of more than 7500. Either way, it remained peaceful. There was no agitation from the police and any form of violence or vandalism was quickly denounced by the group as whole.

Lastly, sorry for the hard breathing, I had to run to get to the front and it was a long run

06/02/2020

Back home editing now. Expect the first video in a couple of hours. Won't sleep until these are all done. Thousands of people showed up today and had their voices heard.

06/01/2020

It's nearly 3:30am now. I am gonna get some sleep and try to do this again tomorrow. I'll hopefully see everyone out supporting our community then.

06/01/2020

I still have one more to edit before I go to bed tonight. I will be attempting a live stream for tomorrow's protest, but at the very least you can expect more videos in support of our community and people of color everywhere. Everyone should be paying attention now, this is the time to make big changes in our country. Don't be on the wrong side of history.

06/01/2020

Footage from the beginning of the protest on May 31, 2020.

We also got a few interviews including Chief Frank Dixon, Jennifer Lane (who was a sweetheart) and many others.

Will be adding more videos from today in just a bit.
