Just a quick message!

A heartfelt message of gratitude to all those who reached out! The birds are going through some molting right now, but they'll be just fine. I've been busy nurturing little ones and coping with the loss of two loved ones that fell ill. Excited to return and share more content with you next week! Apologies for the wait, and thank you for your patience.

Can we get a 🥁 roll for the parronts on this cutie.....

HENDRICK..You are NOT the father to this baby!
Pride and Joy, ARE this babies parents.

DID YOU GUESS RIGHT?

This was Pride and Joy's first year in which we allowed them to mate, although he tried like heck last year 😂.
Joy did lay 5 eggs, but only 2 were fertile, and only 1 hatched. This baby hatched on super bowl Sunday, 2/11/24. I have not sent in DNA yet, therefore I have no clue if it's a male or female. It can only be a Blue or EmeraldBlue Opaline Cleartail like it's parents.

Hendrick and Stassi laid 5 fertile eggs, but every baby tried to hatch entirely too early and we believe it's from Stassi being overly broody. I was able to hatch assist one baby that survived.
Hendrick has babies with Aurora and Stassi previously. If Stassi is up for it, we will allow them to try again but I'll need to be vigilant during the laying process, should that happen. Their surviving baby hatched on 2/21 and is doing well.
I'll post pictures of both babies as they progress.

Round 2 elimination..

I'm sure this will disappoint many, but this baby doesn't belong to Rukus and Ellie Mae.
Ellie did lay 5 eggs, but all were infertile. This year Rukus is having baby bowls, because he was only caught mating on the side of her, while on their food dishes. 🤦‍♀️
Poor Ellie! They did a great job raising their babies last year. I may let her hatch someone else's baby, just so they have a baby to care for.

Round 1 elimination...
Did you guess Phoenix and Brûlée?

They have been mating, but have not laid any eggs. So far Brûlée has no interest in a nest box either. 🤷‍♀️

Have you ever wondered why my birds kiss so much?
The simple answer is, I have cute agression!

Sometimes I look at them with those cute little faces and bubbly little eyes and I just can not contain myself.
I'll pick them up and smother them with all my kisses and sometimes I'd say against their will. Like they have no choice but to sit there and take it.
I bet they're like, screw it, do what you gotta do mom so we can get this over with. 😂
Don't worry though, no birds are ever harmed.

I can't be the only one like this, right?

((LONG POST)) 👀

Happy New Year everyone!

Wishing you happiness, good health, love, laughter, success and new adventures.

We've been busy with new projects to make life a bit safer and fun for our sweet babies. No matter my birds ages, they'll always be our babies.
Time for a change in the new year, so we're currently working on a new playroom experience for our flock. Pulling everything out, cleaning, new toys, and new set-up. It's going to take several days.

I also feel I've let you all down by not posting as much in 2023. So my new goal is to share more. I know many people want to see more of the most popular birds we have but in MY reality, they all matter.

Thank you for your continued support by watching our videos, leaving comments and sharing our content. Believe it or not, when you do each of these things, you help our flock. You may ask yourselves how. Well Facebook pays us to share and if they feel you're engaged, it's like a little reward they offer. That little bit, we put right back towards our pets. It's not much, but every penny is valued.
Another new thing thats coming for the 2024 year moving forward, is the USDA is making all content creators that share multiple birds on platforms, to become licensed. As a content creator, that includes us. What does this mean? This means we need to have a licensed veterinarian come to our home annually to make sure we provide a healthy and safe environment for our pets. It also means the USDA will make a surprise visit annually, to make sure we're compliant. There's much more involved with that, but I'll save that for another day.

Okay, I won't bore you anymore today with words. Let's make this a positive, uplifting, New Year! Love and flock kisses to all!

Where's all my New Yorkers at???

I have a dear friend that got one of Aurora and Hendricks babies in 2022 and needs to find her a new loving home. Her name is Borealis, after Aurora Borealis (Northern lights)
She will come with a cage, some toys and paperwork from us and past vet visits. Her latest vet visit was actually yesterday, so she has an established veterinarian in place. She has some cage agression but once out and away from her cage, is fine. So perhaps not a good fit for someone or family with younger children that may stick fingers near a cage.

If you think you may be a good fit or know someone who may, please reach out to me in messenger.
*She will not be shipped and is available for pick up only.
*They're in the Buffalo area.

She just wanted her beauty rest!
This video is of Trinity. It just so happens that I took this video on November 29th 2022. The day we put our tree up last year. Since she lives in my heart now and not physically, sharing these moments let's me relive those precious little moments we once had.
