This green couch has heard so many conversations, seen many tears, gave reprieve on a hard day and provided comfort and quiet. Little did I know that about 3 yrs ago God would have me create this space for everything I listed above. To create a safe space for anyone who wanted to come over and may needed a listening ear. In 2024 I had no clue God would be using it for my counseling services!

When you book a session with Find Me at His Feet Counseling please know that this space has been prepared just for you. There are scriptures on the wall, specific essential oils being discussed, worship music being played and most of all I have prayed over this space before each client arrives. Not to mention plenty of tissues, a little notebook and pen for clients to take notes and some water. I love to make sure people feel as comfy as they can be.

In our sessions we go can go as deep with your healing as you want. Everything is 100% confidential. I like to check on each client when our session is over to make sure they are using the tools I gave them. So you will get a text or two over the weeks after your appt. I want you to feel God’s love the moment you walk into this space. I want the Holy Spirit to dwell here so that He can aid me in the healing process as I walk with you.

Hard to believe it’s been a year already! It’s crazy to see a dream that God gave me come to fruition. I’ve had the honor to sit with so many women. We’ve chatted, grabbed coffee, cried, prayed and laughed together.

It’s filled my soul to be able to connect with such amazing people. I’ve had opportunities to speak and pray at events. I’ve grown personally in my relationship with the Lord and was able to just be a light to those who needed it. I’m not sure where this ministry will go. I’m just following His lead. I’ve been quiet for a bit as life had gotten crazy and then the holidays came and went. Make sure to keep following my journey. Who knows what the future has in store!

Thank you to everyone who supported and believed in my dream. To those who gave me opportunities to minister and those who were there for me when I needed someone. Obviously thank you to God for allowing me to do what I did. None of it could have happened with out Him. So here’s to 2024 and what adventures are ahead for Find me at His Feet Ministry!

On November 10th-12th we hosted our very first women’s retreat. It was called Genesis “Birthing Season” Madai McCain, Liz Abreu, Kathy Darianani, Leann Latorre and myself planed and planned for nearly 7-8 months. It felt like forever until the day would come and then BAM, it arrived.

Women from far and near came to have an encounter with the most high God. They came expecting a move. A move of God is exactly what happened! Friday night was a night of deliverance and Saturday was a day of healing and being filled and commissioned. We had a guest speaker, speak Saturday night and man oh man did she bring a powerful word! I highly recommend her and her team.

My perspective from that weekend was this: I found myself resorting to my default of stay busy. I stayed busy setting out food and snacks, taking ladies to their rooms, making sure the speaker got everything she needed and decorating everything so it looked beautiful. I loved every minute of that but I remember having a thought of “Shiraya, slow down and enter in. You don’t get to do that often at conferences or retreats.” I get there are the background ppl who make everything look effortless or help the host be less stressed out. They are needed. I know the gifts I brought to the table were necessary and much appreciated. But I longed to just sit at His feet and just release. All the while my thoughts and flesh fought me to stay a step ahead of everything.

Once I intentionally slowed down I received so much. Lisa spoke a specific word over each women and when she got to me all I remember her saying over and over again is “you’re ready!” All weekend, person after person poured into my life with words of encouragement and gratitude. Some of those ppl didn’t know anything about me. Yet what they were saying was spot on. I miss this kind of gathering. I miss the prophetic moves of God, the community, releasing words to ppl myself…I MISS BEING USED! For years and years I’ve felt overlooked and misunderstood. But I’m here to tell you that this retreat has awakened something in me again!

I have a voice, calling, giftings and a purpose. Watch out bc Shiraya is back!

There seems to be an epidemic in churches today…everyone comes but very few want to help. God didn’t call us to come warm a seat and be entertained for 2.5 hrs then leave. He came not to be served but to serve. I think we as the church could take a lesson from Jesus. He saw the need and jumped right in to help.

The church, no matter the size, needs people to help run it. We have to work as a well oiled machine and as a team or the cracks begin to show and there aren’t enough resources to help. If you feel called to help in your church then DO IT! You may be called to be an usher, a greeter, children’s church, nursery, set up and tear down ect. Listen to God’s call on where to get plugged in.

We all need community and each other to make things run smoothly. Don’t get into the mindset of “oh someone else can do it” Don’t hear what I’m not saying, if you don’t feel called that’s fine too. But you have gifts the church needs. Call your local church and see where they need help. I promise it will bless you beyond measure. He’s calling His people to humble themselves and serve in every aspect of life. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk lol

The weekend of Father’s Day we started to notice our AC having issues with keeping the house cool. It wouldn’t get below 80-85. The next day my husband goes to see what could be wrong with it and all of a sudden out AC compressor blows up like the 4th of July! We make a mad dash back into the garage. After the dust settles and we figure out what happened, I took my husband’s hands and we stopped and prayed. I could have easily freaked out and be worried about what to do next. But instead we prayed! I felt so much peace in the whole situation.

Fast forward to that Sunday (Father’s day) we get home from church and it’s sweltering in the house. We need to get a hotel room but with what money? Wouldn’t you know it I get a text saying someone is offering to pay for a hotel for us. 😳We also had many ppl say we could stay with them as well. The kindness was overwhelming.
So we pack up and head to the hotel for the night. It was wonderful! We packed up and headed back so the guy could fix the AC. It took hrs but it got fixed. The company gave us an amazing deal and it was the exact amount that someone had blessed us with! Crazy right? It gets better.

We are enjoying the cool air when a few days goes by and we notice it happening AGAIN🤦🏽‍♀️ It gets HOT in the house. The air handler/evaporator is shot this time. That’s a pricey fix. We are talking a few thousand dollars. Once again we didn’t falter but stood on God’s promises. Guess what?! God sent a raven to supply our need and someone paid for the air handler/evaporator in full! I couldn’t stop crying.

I went into my room to pray and thank God for all He’s done for us. I’m sobbing my eyes out when I hear a tiny knock on the door. In walks Aaralyn and she asked me what’s wrong. I tell her that I’m just so thankful that God has been so good to us. She embraces me and I continue to pray. It was such a tender moment. Someone graciously let us borrow a window unit and it’s been great. Would it have been easier to complain and gripe? Of course. Has it been quite the adventure? Absolutely but we know where our help comes from and who supplies our needs.

This saying has been what I’ve clung to here recently. With kids out for the summer, inflation getting out of hand and the fact you need 17 incomes just to survive, I have had to really lean into knowing God has got me.

As much as I’d love to take a vacation or a cruise or even shop at Sam’s club lol I know that this season is just that, a season. I know you may feel like you are the only one experiencing tough times financially but I promise you aren’t. Everyone is feeling the squeeze. In the past I’d freak out and try to do things on my own. I’d worry myself sick on how we would make ends meet. But this year, I chose to look at things differently.

I told myself that I wouldn’t freak out about money but instead enjoy the ride. I told God that every day I wake up I’m going to choose to watch Him provide for us in any way He saw fit. If that’s financially then great! If it’s allowing our food and gas to stretch longer than normal then so be it. I’ve had so much peace about it all.

With some creativity, I planned out fun things to do with the kids and I’ve watched God show them as well that life isn’t all about money. We’ve made fun memories that have brought joy to my heart. I also rest in Psalm 37:25. “I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food.”

My encouragement to you is to enjoy the journey. Lay down your worry and fear at His feet and pick up joy and peace knowing God has everything under control.

I don’t think I ever introduced myself on this page. My name is Shiraya McCain. I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend 🥰. I have been serving with my husband as Worship pastors at our church for 10yrs. We have been married for almost 14 yrs and we have 3 beautiful kids who are growing so fast.

Before Find me at His feet ever came to be I was a doula for 5 yrs. I supported women and families in the most magical moment of bringing new life into the world. Around June-July of 2022 God began to stir something in me that i had no clue what it was. I kept feeling that something was coming. A change or a transition.

Fast forward to right after Christmas of 2022 I woke up one morning to the phrase “Find me at His feet” playing over and over in my head and it did so for days. I went to my husband and told him that I feel like God is transitioning me from doula work to this new ministry. I knew this was from God I just didn’t know what it would become. Of course he was supportive and we prayed that God would lead me.

So here we are almost half way through 2023 and the words spoken over me and the amazing response from everyone has humbled me beyond words. I searched my whole 37 yrs of life for something to call mine and to find who I was. I felt like this ministry is it! I have never felt so much peace about my calling. Helping women through life is what I was created to do. To be that person I so desperately needed growing up to others. I have no clue where God is gonna take this ministry but I do know that I will be faithful and give Him my yes even if it’s scary.

What is this a picture of you may ask? Well it’s a birthing stool. It was and still is used for women while they give birth. They sit, squat or lean on the stool while they labor and push baby out.

This can also be a prophetic picture of what God is calling His daughters to do. You see in ancient times the midwives would use what they call an Oben or a birth stool to help women during birth. By definition it is a wheel, disc, potter's wheel, bearing-stool, midwife's stool. Midwives were women like you and me coming along side other women, telling them to breathe and push out their child.

I find it cool that it’s also a reference for a potter’s wheel. We are constantly being molded and changed into the potter’s likeness. He gives us new life and purpose with every labor pain we go through.

Do you feel as if you are on the birth stool or potter’s wheel trying to birth something? Do you feel like God has given you a dream but you don’t know how to make it come to pass? Do you feel like you are in “labor” as you push to find your calling? I know that feeling and have been there.

As a woman of the Most High King you are truly one of God’s best ideas. You don’t have to compete with other woman or men for that matter to have your voice heard. You have a voice, name, place and assignment. You have something so special inside if you that the world so desperately needs. It doesn’t matter if ppl don’t recognize your gift or calling. In the natural there is an age where woman can no longer physically bear children but that’s not the case in the spirit. No matter your age you can always give birth to the new things God has put inside of you. Sit on the birthing stool and come along side of other women and teach each other how to breathe and push through the pain. The reward is great I promise!

Women of God it’s time to be the God fearing spiritual midwives of our generation. You can and will make a difference! You just have to open your mouth and follow the Holy Spirits lead. 🥰

Do you have a mouth? Speak
Can you say kind words? Speak
Can you lift someone up? Speak
Have you been through something good or bad? Speak

The world needs what you have to say. I stayed silent for far too long and now it’s time to open my mouth and declare the things He’s given me. Speak with kindness, authority, love and wisdom. Don’t let your mouth run away from you. Build others up. Encourage one another!

Proverbs 16:24 says it best: “Gracious words are like a honeycomb. Gracious words are like sweetness to the soul and like health to the body.”

Learn to tame your tongue and use it for good. Bring life, not death. We all have a testimony. It needs to be shared. You don’t have to have a platform or a group of ppl. Maybe God has called you to speak more one on one. Then do it! Follow the Holy Spirit’s leading and help ppl get free and come to Jesus.

Now is the time to SPEAK!

I don’t know what it is about this spot at my vanity. I get ready here every day and almost everyday the Lord speaks to me. It’s cluttered full of makeup and hair stuff. It’s organized chaos lol He tends to drop people into my mind and I pray for them or send them an encouraging text of what I feel He’s speaking. I’ve had many moments with God here for myself as well. Many tears, yelling at the enemy, praises, and silence as I sat in His presence.

It just goes to show that God can speak to you anywhere and in anyway. Do you have a special spot with God? Sit with Him today and let Him speak to you. 🥰

“The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners. God sent me to announce the year of his grace - a celebration of God's destruction of our enemies - and to comfort all who mourn, To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit. Rename them "Oaks of Righteousness" planted by God to display his glory.” MSG

This scripture jumped out at me while I was listening to The Grove Podcast. I’ve heard this scripture all my life but today it had a whole new meaning. I felt as if the Lord was saying “this is what I’m calling you to. This is the foundation of Find me at His feet.” Its exciting to watch this ministry unfold and He give me bits and pieces that fit together perfectly.

This ministry is to heal the broken hearted, set captives free, to comfort those who mourn, give you hope, peace and joy and a heart full of praise. To point you to Him and let you know that there is someone who’s walked in your shoes.

I want to be called an Oak of Righteousness planted by God to display his glory.

The grand reveal!!! I’m still waiting for 2 more chairs that come next week but I’m so excited to share this space with you all.

Lord let this be a place of healing, revealing, triumph and devil stomping. Let all who enter leave with peace. Holy Spirit dwell here. Make it your home.

We love this space already. You can ask my kids who love to sit and rest here. I created it with intention and prayer. This is where I’ll also do lives on social media, sit and read, pray ect.
