A week from today, Noah will again be starting the journey of lengthening his left leg once again. Please keep him in your prayers as he undergoes surgery on May 23 followed by 4-5 months of non-weight bearing as he grows his broken femur to the correct length.

Last Sunday, he shared his testimony at church. He spoke about growing up at AUMC and the miracle that he experienced in 6th grade when he had his leg lengthened the first time. If you haven't had a chance to view his talk, here you go!

It has been a very busy season for the Slawinski family but we never gave up on our quest to bring the "Spirit of Christmas" into our home! So why not decorate the tree on December 27th? It's about celebrating the BIRTH of the Savior right? Our "Merry Christmas" didn't end on December 25th...it was just the beginning of the story! Let's keep the celebration going! Mark your calendars for January 8th at 5:30 pm when the Delphos St. John's Varsity Singers and Blue and Gold Chorale will celebrate God's most precious gift to the world and the joy of a new year as we begin to write our own 2023 stories! "

This is our 2022 DSJ Varsity Singers! The kids refer to this yearly field trip as the "World Tour." They videotaped three songs at WTLW, sang Christmas carols for the patrons and employees at Pat's Donuts in Elida, performed a concert at the Lima Mall for the shoppers, and returned to Delphos to perform for the residents at Vancrest. They even honored a special request and did some Christmas caroling to a very special Vancrest resident who was unable to come out for the performance. In the evening they completed their World Tour with a performance at the Delphos Community Christmas Service at St. John's Church. They are a fantastic group of young people who represented DSJ well as they brought the message of Christmas to the community!

Nicole is the 2021-22 DSJ Choir President! Congratulations! What an outstanding accomplishment!

Congratulations to Nicole Pohlman, a senior at Delphos St John's high school. Nicole represented District 2 with her Voice of Democracy essay that VFW Post 3035, Delphos submitted after post judging. There were 771 student essays within the State of Ohio this year.
The theme this year was " America where do we go from here."

Nicole placed 2nd for the Department of Ohio out of the 12 District submissions. Nicole received a plaque, jacket, and a scholarship of $5000 from VFW Department of Ohio.

Best wishes in your career after graduation as a Journalist.
