Spiritual attacks often intensify when you’re walking in what God has called you to do. 🔥
The enemy’s goal is to distract, discourage, and derail you from fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.
But here’s the truth: you are equipped to overcome.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
God has given us His Word, His Spirit, and His promises to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. He has given us everything we need. When you put on the full armor of God, immerse yourself in prayer, and wield Scripture as your weapon, no attack can succeed.
Remember that Jesus has already claimed the victory for you—your job is to stand firm in faith and trust in His power.🙌🏻
Here’s how to combat these spiritual attacks:
1. Put on the Full Armor of God
The first step in combating spiritual attacks is to equip yourself with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Each piece is vital for both defense and offense against the enemy’s schemes.
2. Submit to God and Resist the Devil
Spiritual victory begins with surrender to God. When we humble ourselves before Him and align with His will, we receive the strength to resist the devil. Resistance involves rejecting lies, refusing to give in to fear, and standing firm in God’s truth.
3. Stay Rooted in Prayer
Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons in spiritual warfare. Consistent communication with God keeps your heart anchored in Him and allows you to discern the enemy’s tactics. Like Nehemiah, who prayed every time he faced opposition, let prayer be your first response in times of attack.
4. Use Scripture as Your Weapon
When Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness, He countered every attack with Scripture. Memorize and meditate on verses that affirm God’s promises, His victory, and your identity in Christ. Declare these truths aloud when the enemy tries to sow doubt or fear.
5. Guard Your Mind and Heart
The battlefield of spiritual attacks is often your mind. The enemy will try to plant seeds of doubt, fear, and discouragement. Combat this by renewing your mind daily with God’s Word, focusing on His truth rather than the lies of the enemy (Philippians 4:8).
6. Rely on God’s Strength, Not Your Own
Spiritual attacks can make you feel weak, but this is where God’s strength is magnified. Like Paul, who acknowledged his weakness so that Christ’s power could rest upon him (2 Corinthians 12:9), rely on God’s Spirit to give you the endurance and power to overcome.
7. Surround Yourself with Godly Community
Isolation can make you more vulnerable to attacks. Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and stand with you in faith. Like Moses, who needed Aaron and Hur to hold up his arms in battle (Exodus 17:12), we all need support in the spiritual fight. This is one of the reasons why I created SHS, especially the private Facebook Group for women: a faith-filled community and Jesus-centered connections. I’d love to see you over there with the other beautiful servant hearted ladies!!💌
Spiritual attacks are a reality for those walking in their God-given calling, but God has given you everything you need to stand firm and overcome.
Through prayer, Scripture, community, and reliance on His strength, you can walk boldly in your purpose, knowing the victory is already won.
Even when the darts of doubt, fear, and discouragement come, resist the lies with God’s truth.
Keep moving forward in your calling.
Surround yourself with godly community, stay rooted in prayer, and rely not on your own strength but on His. As you serve Him faithfully, know that your labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Reminder: the One who called you is faithful. He is with you in the battle, and His power is made perfect in your weakness.
🙏🏻Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for equipping me with everything I need to stand firm against the attacks of the enemy. Strengthen me with Your power and help me to walk boldly in the calling You've placed on my life. Guard my mind and heart, renew my spirit daily, and remind me of the victory I have in Jesus. Lord, when I feel weak or discouraged, let Your Word be my strength and prayer my refuge. Surround me with a community of believers who will uplift me and encourage me to keep going. I surrender all to You, trusting in Your power and plan. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
