Social Media Growth Tip! 🚀

According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, and a boatload of studies, the more you post on Instagram, the more you grow. 📈 So, if you can keep your Reels looking sharp, posting more often means you'll also crank up your growth on Insta!

But wait, does this mean you need to become a Reels machine, posting 3-4 times a day? Heck no! 😅 Instead, find your sweet spot and stick to what you can handle. We all have different goals, after all! 🏆

Did anyone catch Meta rolling out their new verified tiered subscription plans for businesses this week?👀

For $15-$350 a month Meta business accounts can access advanced perks such as the ability to add links to Reels posts, priority customer support, and expanded profile customization capabilities.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about the announcement, as well as a lot of misinformation surrounding this, especially the misconception that now ALL businesses will be required to buy into a Meta subscription to continue to use the platforms-- which is FALSE.

Any business will still be able to create and grow their accounts FREE and organically on Facebook and Instagram; however, it will be at the disadvantage of competitors that embrace this new pay to play option.

While at first blush this may seem like an unnecessary business upgrade and cost, I actually see many advantages here.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 #𝟏: 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭! 🙌
If you have ever had an issue with your Facebook or Instagram accounts, you know how IMPOSSIBLE it is to connect with someone at Meta to get it fixed and resolved. Most of the time you are left on your own to go down a Google or YouTube rabbit hole learning how to DIY a fix that 75% of the time doesn't work.

Because I am verified, I've had the opportunity a few times now to connect with a Meta rep to get an issue quickly resolved, and in my opinion, this fast pass to customer support makes it completely worth it just for this reason alone! 😅🙌

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 #𝟐: 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬!
Meta had already been trying to heavily push Reels content the past two years, and now imagine the advantage of easily turning that content into a 24/7 organic sales funnel with the added benefit of a link. For Instagram especially- where links don't live on content, this has the potential to be a HUGE advantage! And because Meta actively represses Facebook posts that include links in the copy and Instagram posts that include "link in bio" in the copy, imagine the advantage this will bring for businesses over their competitors!

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 #𝟑 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!
With online scams and fraud at an all-time high, this should help give peace of mind to not only business owners, but also to their employees and customers/followers. The top two tiers will offer employee impersonation protection- so if you have someone on your team that is the "face" of the business, or in a very public, community facing role, this will easily help squash any fake, lookalike accounts with bad intentions who could potentially hurt your business reputation or individual employee reputations.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 #𝟒 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠!
Subscription to these tiers will prioritize your business over free business access, giving more visibility, reach and higher search ranking in app:

𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 – Including multiple business link options (between 3 and 8 depending on which option you choose), and visual elements for your links.

𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – Have your profile appear “at or near the top of search results”.

𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 – Have your business shown in dedicated “Meta Verified” business display units on Facebook and IG.

So basically, if you are already spending $50-$350 a month boosting posts to increase reach and visibility, a likely better option for that ad spend will be to put it towards a monthly subscription instead. Larger ad spends and campaigns of course are a different story.

It will be interesting to see the data comparing paid boosts with a smaller ad spend vs putting those funds into the subscription instead. I'm willing to bet that early adapters to the subscription will see the most benefit before others eventually come around and it becomes more saturated.

Right now the expansion of Meta Verified is being rolled out starting with Australia and New Zealand, followed soon by other countries.

If you have a business account, my gut says not to sleep on this once you have the option to sign up.
