As of December 2022, about 80 opioid-addicted babies are born every day, or about one every 19 minutes. A video of addicted newborns going through withdrawal prompted this more urgent arrangement and recording of this classic Neil Young tune. We were in the middle of putting together the "Open Late" project when the video of newborns undergoing withdrawal came out. We dropped everything to record this track. Since it was the first and only time anyone had done a different arrangement of the song, we contacted Neil Young to get his blessing to make sure we were on solid legal ground. The hoped for approval took months, but finally came from the man himself. (Nothing happens with his creations without his personal blessing)...Recorded, mixed and mastered by Phil Mehaffey at Cyberteknics Creative Recording...
