This verse may sound strange to modern ears. How can mourning be a blessing? In this scripture Jesus is showing us that there’s a comfort that only comes through surrender, through letting our hearts be tender before Him. God never wastes a tear. Every cry you’ve released in the secret place has been seen and heard.

To be poor in spirit doesn’t mean you lack confidence or that you put yourself down. It means you acknowledge your need for God—that apart from Him you can do nothing (John 15:5).
The world says, “Be self-made, be independent, pull yourself up by your bootstraps.” But the Kingdom flips it upside down. God says, “Blessed are you when you recognize you can’t make it without Me.”

Almost two years ago, the Lord spoke one word, "GROUNDSWELL". Then He revealed that a Revival is coming! GROUNDSWELL is a broad, deep ocean swell caused by a distant (2,000-mile) storm or earthquake, signifying spiritual darkness. A Groundswell produces powerful, uniform, well-organized waves. In terms of Revival, it produces a rapid increase for something, i.e., the gospel of Jesus Christ. And as a result, a surge of support, approval, or enthusiasm occurs.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 MSG says,
One more thing, friends: Pray for us. Pray that the Master’s Word will simply take off and race through the country to a groundswell of response, just as it did among you. And pray that we’ll be rescued from these troublemakers who are trying to do us in. I’m finding that not all “believers” are believers. But the Master never lets us down. He’ll stick by you and protect you from evil.
