This was written 16 years after the passing of Tupac. Since then a lot about his murder is finally being told.

16 YEAR'S

It's been 16 years and no witnesses to comply giving up answers to questions of why...

With all those people walking up and down the strip....

Bullet's of rain and nobody trips...

There had to be a cellphone, for someone to call...

Three simple numbers,
911 as this young man falls...

We live in a world, where silence has become an addiction....

Unless it's about themselves, then it turns into their undivided attention...

Making Vegas the place, where the dirty do their business...

The only question is why?
How does a car roll up, repeating the ambush as if it were Bonnie and Clyde...

With everything hit on the passengers side....

The part that's very sad and hard to comprehend...

How can two be in the same car, but only one left standing after the gunfire end....

Dear Mama
They never understood my message about Brenda's Got A Baby....

That's why America's most wanted became the resurrection of Makaveli...

But just like the wind,
my voice blows a silent breeze and then placed under a microscope, with All Eyes On Me...

Every title has a meaning and the world needs to know....

About the aftermath of accusations, takes innocent men and makes them wait on Death Row...

Why won't people ever wake up and speak?
No justice or peace just locked up in cages and the Master holds the key....

And even through it all, I continued to pray for thee..

Hail Mary! maybe one day we can all be free..

What was it really like....
At that infamous label...

For all those thirsty young rappers,
Caught and corraled like horses in stables..

While violence unplugged All Mics and Turntables...

The need for greed, was injected like speed
Fear filled minds, made from clouds of plead...

Then all of a sudden, they thought fame was on their side, telling them to freestyle but don't drop the dime...

And there was no mercy if your lyrics were whack..
Creativity is gone and you're under attack....
Now the focus is on those getting pistol whipped and slapped...

While some stood watching, as the rest watched and sat back....

Many names became pawns in the game...
After they signed on the dotted line...

Then merely treated like prisoners, in their moment of shine...

But did anyone truly care, that the artists sustained pain, like a deep rooted tooth...

So who owns their music?
After they paid the toll in the booth...

An American PRINCE

He drove across Graffiti Bridge in his Little Red Corvette...
The weather was calm, unlike the other day...

When the wind took control of his woman's Raspberry Beret...

Under The Cherry Moon among the stars in a wide open stormy sky...

As they counted Purple Rain
drops, that totaled 1999...

His life, often came with Controversy, but Paisley Park was that place for Peace and Tranquility...

To see him perform on stage, often felt like an illusion..

The New Power Generation,
came after The Revolution....

Later he took on the Industry, from Cradle to Grave...

Letter's on his face that meant, "I am free, no longer am I your SLAVE "

Sadly it's time, for that long KISS goodbye...
We have now become, his loyal DOVES that CRY...
