"The worst part of today is that I didn't get to see what you wore." My hubby got home late last night and I was already in bed. As I asked him how his day went that was what he said and it made me smile. ⠀
⠀
For the past week I have been diligent about getting dressed for the day and everyday he compliments me. But I had no idea that it had become something he looked forward to. ⠀
⠀
Truth is I've only been doing it because I felt it was something that God had placed on my heart. As I seek him, I am beginning to discover a lot of lies I have harbored, especially when it comes to homemaking but that's a whole other story. ⠀
⠀
To take my homemaking more seriously and truly embrace this calling, I have had to dress for success. I have always believed in comfort above cuteness but to be honest minus my lovely wonderful robe I'm still pretty comfortable and cute.

In today's vlog I put my definition of productivity to the test being peacefully present with these ladies has truly filled me up and helped me be a good steward of my time. Random noises and Math it’s a thing. One of his favorite things about Teaching Textbooks is the fact that it has fun graphics that pop up all the time. ⠀

This encourages him as well as keeps his attention. Out of the three math curriculums that he does this one is by far his favorite. To him it’s technology time and he’s all about that 😂.⠀

Today is my birthday. Birthdays are hard for me, not because I'm getting older. I think I'm ok with that 😬.

The truth is I am not big on gifts, luxurious restaurants, drinking or partying. I legit hate being the center of attention 😨. Yes, I realize the irony with being on Youtube.

I promise I'm not a grouch, I'm actually a silly goofy person🤪. I love to laugh and just hang out.

I enjoy serving others like really serving. It's selfish in a way but knowing that I had a hand in really helping someone, there is not any feeling like it.

I really like & love my hubby and my children 🥰. They are my greatest blessings. I get to do what I love everyday. I get the gift of being a wife and mom everyday, I say this with tears in my eyes because I don't take it for granted. I have friends and family that love me. I do not go without and even on my hardest days, I'm blessed.

With all that said I am an introverted, extrovert and Birthdays are hard. But a friend reminded me life is short, if your family wants to celebrate you, let them. So maybe for me birthdays are not about me, maybe they are about allowing others to love on me and hey I could have worse problems.

I often get asked “that’s it right no more kids, two girls two boys you’re done right” truth is I don’t know. When I talk with my husband he says he has no desire to plan for any future children. ⠀

The planner in me wants to scream but he reminds me we didn’t plan the ones that we do have, God opens and closes the womb. My children are my greatest blessings and that’s just my truth. ⠀
⠀
It’s where we are at right now, we just want to leave it up him, until he tells us different ❤️. ⠀
⠀

There’s some people that you meet and you just connect with. You can’t explain it but the love is real and the love is strong. It’s like you’ve known them forever but you literally only known them for half a year. ⠀

Torrie you are such a beautiful soul with a light that shines so bright. Your love is so strong, you genuinely encourage, spur me on and make me feel like I can accomplish anything. I could go on forever about you but I am so thankful for today.⠀

I am so thankful for your birth. I’m so grateful for your life. God knew what he was doing on this day 30 years ago and honey you’re going to change the world. Happy Birthday 🎉🎂

Hospital stays are hard I miss my baby and hubby, she misses her mama and her siblings. I choose not to focus on that though instead I focus on growth. ⠀

I can remember how helpless I felt when we found out she has this disease. I was scared for my child and how this disease would hinder her. But thanks be to God! She has flourished. My baby is strong 💪🏾, she is brave, loving and loyal. ⠀
⠀
We have flourished. There were days when I would start to panic and realize it’s because I had stopped breathing. I was sad and in despair, those days God surrounded me with family and framily to help me breathe. ⠀
⠀
I am so thankful for those days to hold on to when I am sad now because time does heal, it brings a new normal. I choose to look for the good and turn my eyes on the Lord. He hasn’t failed me. ⠀

I’m lazy and I plan so that I can be lazy guilt free. It’s true my spirit animal is a sloth 🦥. ⠀

Of course with laziness comes another p word, procrastination 😩. The number one enemy of the ultimate p word Productivity. ⠀

During all of this week's craziness this little one's birthday passed. ⠀
⠀
He is 3 years old! My little warrior, my first natural birth. ⠀
⠀
This little man helped me to feel powerful, healed and capable. I am so grateful for his life. ⠀
⠀
He is so incredibly loyal, full of life, mighty, affectionate and fire. ⠀
⠀
Yes, 🔥! He is explosive, a true toddler if I have ever seen one myself. He is sweet but also sour 😅. ⠀
⠀
He is training this mama, refining my patience and expanding my gentleness and kindness. ⠀
⠀
We hope to mold his fire into perseverance and an unshakeable faith. ⠀

I wish I could sit with you and help you understand how you are specially designed for this. How you are doing so much better than you think.⠀

I am not perfect. I do not have all the answers but the one who does, the one who knows all, he thought you could do this. ⠀

So I go with what he says about you and you got this, you can do it! You are perfect for your little ones, even on your worst days, they are blessed to call you mama. ⠀

I’ve got all the practical tips on how to make this motherhood thing work but that means nothing, if you don't believe in yourself as a mom. ⠀

They asked so I delivered! My children asked to learn about something 🥳!!! I couldn’t be more excited. Setting up our first ever unit study! Boy am I learning a lot 🤯. Recording the whole planning process should be up Thursday. Do you all have any additional references that I could use to teach my children about this holiday?
