Our Story
Election Connection, Western Connecticut State University’s production of live news and election coverage broadcasts over-the-air, cable TV, radio, and streaming, all simlutaneoulsy, regional results in the November national and state elections. Election Connection has earned six national & regional media awards recognizing excellence in news programming and innovation in the use of pedagogy and technology. The Election Connection production is made up of students of many different majors to teach students real world job experiences. COM 247 Live News and Election Coverage allows students from various majors to participate in different roles such as producers, anchors, and technical crew.
