💡 Good lighting is essential for a good video but often easier said than done. Sometimes a simple solution, like bouncing a light source off a wall or ceiling, can quickly brighten up your scene with minimal effort.

Being clever about what you use on a shoot and how you use it is key in the real-world production environment.

The other day I got a question I often have received over my career, "what's the one thing (or role) you like to do the most in video production?"; Short answer - everything and nothing!
I originally got into video production as a production assistant, followed by video editor, videographer, motion graphic designer, video production manager, director, video producer, scriptwriter, narrator, and even some work in front of the camera.
Even after 16 years in professional video production, I still enjoy engaging in all these roles! Everything I've done informs everything I do, in every role I take on!
