ABPM is pleased to release the 2024 Compensation Survey Report for Briefing and Customer Engagement Professionals, This tenth Compensation Survey report looks at compensation levels for nine standard positions throughout the United States, Europe, and APAC. This is an expansion of the number of titles and regions of the world compared to past Compensation Survey reports. Because data provided in this report results in low Ns when segmented into region and title, the report is meant as informational rather than formal research. Those members who completed the survey in full received a free copy of the report. The report is now available in ABPM's Online Store for $59 for members and $249 for non-members. Last week, it was our honor to present the Lifetime Service Award to a leader who has been an integral part of the ABPM Community from nearly the time ABPM was founded. Candie Hurley joined ABPM in 1999, when, as the leader of the Avaya program, she quickly grasped the strategies and impact that briefing programs can make in their companies. Within a year, she began to step up as a leader in the ABPM Community and over the next 20 years became known as “ABPM faculty”, leading sessions at nearly every conference.

Candie worked with Ann Benett to create the first ‘Facilitation Skills Training for Briefing Professionals’, which had a major impact on the effectiveness of those program teams who took the course and used the skills regularly in their programs. As a result, facilitating briefings quickly became an important component of the ‘Characteristics of World Class Briefing Programs’. Crucially, during the pandemic, at a moment when nearly everyone needed virtual facilitation training, she and Ann stepped up to lead multiple virtual facilitation sessions in a row for any ABPM members who needed the training.

Candie is an emeritus ABPM Advisory Board member and has facilitated board meetings since stepping down from the board. She’s been an important voice in the last several ‘Characteristics of World Class Briefing Programs’ reviews and updates, and she’s been a juror in 20 of the 21 annual awards programs!

Candie will retire at the end of 2024 and, though she will be sorely missed in the ABPM Community, we thank her sincerely for the incredible impact she’s had on the briefing and customer engagement world and wish her well-deserved relaxation and happiness in her next chapter.

Please join us in thanking and congratulating Candie Hurley, 2024 Lifetime Service Award recipient!
