THE INCUMBUSTIBLE SALATIEL
One of Cameroon's finest artists/musicians, also a music executive - Salatiel Livenja Bessong, mononymously Salatiel , is celebrating 10 his 10th year anniversary as a musician and one word that could accurately describe him, is INCUMBUSTIBLE.
Salatiel's journey as a music executive and producer, started way back but his professional signing career kicked off in 2014. While the journey hasn't been all smooth, he has remained unbreakable and focused.
Salatiel is the founder and CEO, of one of the countries most succesful and deeply-rooted record labels; Alphabetta Records: a label that harbored and luminated the careers of artists like Mr. Leo, Blaise B, Askia, and Salatiel himself. The level propelled Mr. Leo to become not just a household name in the Cameroon music sphere, but also as one of the biggest successes of Salatiel's career as mentor and music coach.
Despite the weight on his shoulders, being prolific songwriter, and 5-star producer, Salatiel name is in the record books as one of the most influential and succesful artists of his generation.
With a plethora of hit singles as well as classic ones, Salatiel's discography screams class and a distinguished representation of the Cameroonian culture and Africa at large.
With two mind boggling award-winning albums : "AFRICA REPRESENTED" and "FAMILY MAN", Salatiel remains the only artist in his generation and the only Cameroonian to have collaborated with Beyoncรฉ in "Water" and Guillaume in "Good girl"
He has collaborated with African superstars like: Sauti Sol, a now defunct Kenyan music band, Teni Akpata from Nigeria, Stone Bwoy from Ghana, Soul Bang's from Guinea, just to mention a few...
The "High man General" has been able to represent some huge brands like the Kadji K44 alcoholic brand, Guiness, and others. These brands have continually partnered with the singer, thanks to his great reputation and a brand that stands tall amongst many.
As earlier stated mentioned, Salatiel's journey has been a Rollercoaster, he has remained thick and escaped the shackles accordingly and sumptuously...
Salatiel has worked hand-in-hand with Cameroonian music legends like the late Manu Dibango, and received public endorsements from Grammy award-winning singer and mutli-jnstrumentalist; Richard Bona.
Worthy of note, Salatiel has been named "The Best of generation" by Legendary Petit Pays. The duo did a song together titled "Pelรฉ" one in which Salatiel paid tribute to the legend, referring to him as the "Pelรฉ" of music, especially for his 50 years of experience in the business.
Without any unnecessary hype, Salatiel is generational talent and has stood out for his leadership prowess. His fan base has continued to surge in countries Iike Haiti, France, etc. He's also done tours across Europe and South Africa.
In a nutshell, Salatiel's works don't tend to receive the accolades, it supposedly deserves. Even if he stopped now, he must have built a legacy that can't be extinguished. However, after listening to his latest body of work, "Family Man " we might just be getting started after a decade.
