One of my goals is to try every restaurant on Main Street in Grapevine, Texas.

Next on the list — chezfabienbistro.

I splurged a bit for the Steak Frites au Poivre at $42, but it was worth it.

You can’t go wrong with a 14 oz grilled Ribeye Steak, Au Poivre Sauce, and French Fries. Especially when the steak is tender and juicy, and the skinny fries hit just right.

Definitely will be going back soon!

When I think of simple yet tasty food, Luna Grill always comes to mind.

This is the Koobideh Kabob Plate with a chicken kabob add-on.

It's a high protein meal, with seasoned minced beef kabob, rice, salad, and warm pita bread.

BTW, this is lunch and dinner for me at $25. Enjoy!

✨ Hidden gem alert! ✨ kooksoo_tx may have two locations in Dallas, but this Korean restaurant is a hidden gem.

If you ever walk into a restaurant and...

(1) the menu is in a different language, and
(2) all of the customers are from the same culture as the food being served

You know the food is going to be 🔥.

I ordered the Beef Noodles for $25 and it was amazing! I don’t think I left anything behind and you see how big this bowl is.

I scarfed down these Pork with Napa Cabbage Dumplings from Hello Dumpling on Walnut Hill in Northeast Dallas.

I would have like for them to have a bit more kick, but they were good for a $10 quick bite.

As for the rice dumplings…not a fan. This was my first rice dumpling, and the consistency threw me off. But that’s just me. Try them for yourself.

What did I get at loroeats, a Asian meets Texas BBQ restaurant in East Dallas?

▪️ Brisket Tostadas: corn tortillas, crème fraîche, and shish*to salsa verde (👍🏾).

▪️ Chicken Karaage: chili aioli, szechuan salt, and thai herbs (👍🏾).

▪️ Crispy Potatoes: miso mustard, habanero aioli, and toasted white sesame (👍🏾👍🏾).

P.S…The Wonton Chips are amazing!

Shoutout to my WMU crew for introducing me to hot chicken and honey at Hattie B's Hot Chicken in Nashville three years ago.

I loved the combo so much, I started eating at Dave's Hot Chicken in North Dallas at least twice a month for the spicy/sweet combo.

Pro Tips:

🚨 Don't go straight for the high heat levels unless you know you can handle it. Start with mild and work your way up and ask for a handful of honey to cut the heat.

📍 If you want a wider variety of sides, hit up Hattie B's in the Oak Lawn/Uptown area of Dallas.

If you're into Baptist history, more specifically, Texas Baptists history, then you should add the Texas Baptists Historical Museum in Brenham, Texas, to your list.

It's about a 3hr drive from DFW and it's free.

Attached to the museum is the oldest Baptist church in Texas, and inside, there are multiple exhibits on Baptist life and Sam Houston's family.

Before you leave, hang a right outside the entrance to see if you can find a brick with your church's name on it.

I rarely finish my meals at restaurants, but that wasn't the case with the Sweet-Chili Glazed Salmon at Kona Grill in Plano, Texas.

😍 First, how have I not had salmon and fried rice until now? I'm in love, guys!

😍 Second, the sweet sauce brought the entire dish together. I'm not a fan of anything sweet, but I made sure each bite had sweet-chili sauce on it.

Note: Be prepared. Kona is a bit pricey. This dish is $37.

Does anyone else feel like they should get a certified artist certificate after a Painting with a Twist session?

I've lost count of how many of these I've done and each time is a blast ... if you're not a perfectionist. I would recommend trying at least once and wear something old. 😉 You'll thank me later.

If you're looking for a good burger in the Granbury, Texas, look no further than Willie & Dick's Grill.

It's a small restaurant right off the highway with a chill laid-back environment. As for the burger and onion rings, they were simple, large, and good.

I love places where the food speaks for itself.

YesterLand Farm in Canton, Texas, may be for kids, but I love the variety of activities for adults, like this beautiful field of Sunflowers and Zinnias.

A train ride to the field is included in your entry fee, but there's an additional charge to cut and take home your favorite flowers.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but my experience at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken San Antonio, TX didn't live up to the hype.

The skin was a bit on the tough side, but the okra was great!

First, let me apologize for my half-eaten plate of food. I forgot to take photos of our time at Texas de Brazil because I clearly focused on eating.

Second, here are my four takeaways:

1️⃣ Skip the salad bar. You won't have room for it, and they'll bring hot sides to your table.

2️⃣ Be vocal about your meat choices. Let the waiters know if you're in the mood for a specific type of meat.

3️⃣Prepare to spend $$$. Our meal was $150 (with tip) for two people. BTW ... the customer service is amazing. Tip well!

4️⃣Make sure you're in the mood for a lot of meat. The waiters will be stopping by your table every five minutes. Try it all and enjoy the experience.

P.S...Make an early evening reservation to beat the crowds.

When I first saw @tricky_fish_ , I immediately asked, “what makes it tricky?” I’m still not entirely sure but it may have something to do with étouffée? 🤷🏾‍♀️ First, let me say the service at the Walnut Hill location is ✨amazing✨. If you visit around 4pm on a weekday, you’ll pretty much have the entire restaurant to yourself. Now let’s talk about the food: ⭐️ Blackened Redfish: I loved the meatiness of the redfish, but I expected more of a kick from the blackening seasoning. ⭐️ Loaded Mash Potatoes: I don’t love mashed potatoes, but I ate every bite of these. Very creamy and flavorful. ⭐️ Flash-Fried Okra: The seasoning was good but I was a little disappointed with the choice to slice the okra. I didn’t have any okra guts, which to me is the best part. It was basically a plate of okra skin. After looking through other people’s food pics, I want to visit again and try the seafood pasta or burgers.
