Should I bring business cards to an event
🚫 No Business Cards? No Problem! 🎉
Networking events can be unpredictable, but here's a secret: You still have control, even if you forget those business cards at home! 🙌✨
📣 Here's why you're in the driver's seat:
✅ Authentic Conversations: When you don't rely on business cards, you're forced to engage in genuine conversations. Instead of exchanging contact information right away, focus on building a real connection and understanding the other person's goals and passions.
✅Memorable Impressions: Without the crutch of a business card, you have the opportunity to leave a lasting impression through your personality, knowledge, and charisma. Be memorable by showcasing your expertise and showcasing what makes you unique.
✅Digital Alternatives: In today's digital age, business cards aren't the only option. Utilize technology to your advantage! Connect on LinkedIn, follow each other on social media, or exchange contact details via email. Embrace the digital realm for networking without physical cards.
✅Follow-up Flexibility: Don't fret about not having a business card. Instead, leverage follow-up opportunities to solidify the connection. Send a personalized email or message, referencing specific points from your conversation. This shows sincerity and reinforces the bond you've formed.
✅ Creativity Unleashed: No business cards? Get creative! Leave a lasting impression by sharing a unique token or a personalized item that represents your brand or interests. Let your creativity shine and stand out from the sea of traditional cards.
Remember, networking is about building relationships, not just swapping cards. So, even without those tiny pieces of paper, take charge, be confident, and make meaningful connections that go beyond a simple exchange. 💪🌟

5 Things I Wish Someone Told Me Before I Switched Careers
Nobody cares about you......
Today's video is all about the top five things I wish someone had told me before I switched careers multiple times throughout my adult life.
But first, let me move these 75 coffee mugs that I'm not drinking out of because let's be real, today is not the day and I am not the one.☕
Let's dive into the top five things I wish I knew. First and foremost, nobody cares about you as much as you do. If you're waiting for someone to cheer you on and support you, especially in the entrepreneurship world, get comfortable on the sidelines. Success is often a solo act.
Secondly, negotiating is not just a skill, it's an art form. And as someone who's not very good at it, I understand the anxiety it can cause. But if you want to get paid what you're worth, you better brush up on those tactics.
Third, it's okay to change your mind about the future. Everyone talks about the five-year plan and the two-year plan, but sometimes just putting on pants in the morning is a victory. Remember, this is a choice you can make whenever you want to make it.
Fourth, don't wait for an opportunity, take it. Opportunities are like buses, if you miss one, don't worry, there's always another one coming. Don't just sit there waiting, get up and grab the wheel. You owe no one an explanation about your choices or why you chose a different path.

The art of small talk...
Small talk can be intimidating, especially when you're trying to make a good impression at a networking event.
With these "tips" and tricks, you'll be chatting up a storm in no time.
I suggest making up a profession, bringing up the weather, pretending to be someone else, throwing out random facts, and more.
⭐JK ⭐-here are some questions to ask during a networking meeting.
✅ When someone picks up the phone to call you, what problem are they having?
✅ How do people find you/what does your marketing look like?
✅I’m having an issue with XYZ in my business. Have you ever experienced that?
✅ Who are your strategic partners?
✅ Why do you do what you do?
✅What industry do you find the most success in?
✅ What are you struggling with the most right now?
✅ How do you educate your audience?
✅ How are you different than everyone else that does what you do?

Why Do Virtual Networking Meetings Suck?
What makes a virtual networking group meeting actually great?
( The video paints an interesting picture - take a look 👀)
There are a few key factors that can contribute to a successful and engaging virtual meeting.
First and foremost, a little bit of fun can go a long way. This can include funny jokes, inspirational quotes or messages, or simply a sense of connection and camaraderie among members. Breaking the ice with a fun activity or icebreaker can also help to set the tone for the rest of the meeting.
🙃It's also important to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be seen and heard.
🙃Small breakout rooms can be a great way to facilitate more intimate connections and allow for more in-depth conversations. It's also essential to have a facilitator who can keep the meeting on track and ensure that all voices are heard.
🙃The structure is also key to a great virtual networking group meeting. Someone needs to keep an eye on the clock and make sure that the meeting starts and ends on time, as well as moving participants through different segments such as commercials and speaking opportunities.
🙃Breakout rooms can be a great way to add some variety to the meeting, but it's also important to make sure that the meeting doesn't become a time-suck.
🙃Having a good facilitator can also make a big difference. A facilitator who leads the meeting with insightful and valuable topics or questions can help to keep the conversation engaging and focused. It's also nice to have some time for personal connection, rather than just straight business talk.
🙃In addition to a good facilitator, great ice-breaker questions and a sense of partnership and collaboration fostered by strong facilitators can also contribute to a successful virtual networking group meeting. Building a sense of community and support among members is key to a great meeting.
🙃It's also important to have good moderators who can ensure that people are not talking over each other a
