Timothy Stevens here, the director of Dark Sanctuary: The Story of The Church. As you may know, we are beyond excited to announce that the film will release with Cleopatra Entertainment, the film arm of the legendary dark music label, Cleopatra Records. Not only this, but they will be releasing the soundtrack pretty much anywhere you stream music. This is incredible! Soundtrack releases just don’t happen for indie films and Cleopatra Records is the perfect steward of Joe Virus’ incredible score.As for the film, we had previously announced that it would release November 8th. However, due to some exciting possibilities for an even wider distribution, Cleopatra has decided to hold the release until January 21st 2025. I realize this is kind of disappointing, however rest assured that the decision was made with the goal of giving the film the widest release possible.So, where will you be able to see Dark Sanctuary: The Story of The Church? We’ll begin with a physical release. This is super exciting as many of you have asked if it will be available on DVD and Blu-ray. The answer is yes! Following physical, the film will be available for rent or purchase on platforms like Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and GooglePlay. After that the film will be available on free to watch platforms like Tubi and Roku. So basically, almost anywhere you watch movies you’ll be able to see Dark Sanctuary: The Story of The Church.How can you help us now? If you’ve seen the film already at a festival or one of our screenings, give us a 5 star rating and written review on IMDB and LetterBoxd. This will give us a huge boost ahead of the release.
