Lord Byron - DJ Alternative DJ in Dallas, TX / emphasis on gothic, industrial, dark-wave, synth pop, dark dance music DVR. I love music and I love music video.

I created PANOPTIKON in May 2006 in an effort to re-connect to alternative nightlife in Dallas - a community which I have embraced since the mid-1980's - after a bit of a personal re-build during the first 3 .5 years of my sobriety. I am a self-taught DJ started in small bars and clubs - mostly off-nights- in Dallas and Denton while in school. I later held DJ positions in Dallas clubs and bars suc

h as Aqua Lounge (original location on Elm St./ Deep Ellum), Club Clearview, Art Bar, State Bar, Inwood Lounder (inside Inwood Theater) and the forever-iconic The Church, to name a few. I was also a door personality and worked the door for the legendary Club ONE for a stint in the 1990's, and had my own little Wednesday night there as well. From there, I was offered a DJ position at The Church and did both the door at ONE and also DJ'd Thursday's and Sundays at The Church - and other bars around Dallas. Fast forward to June 16, 2003, I had my last drink of alcohol and took time to work on me, sobriety, and refocus. After a 3.5 year hiatus from the clubs, I launched Lord Byron's PANOPITKON. In March 2009, I created a monthly party called DISCOvsRETRO, a.k.a. DISCO vs RETRO brings the best of 70's disco and 80's retro/new wave on to one dance floor. DVR is more of a quarterly party these days and has a dedicated following. August 2022, I was invited back to The Church and offered my own night once-a-month (and the occasional special event) - every first Sunday, monthly. I try to incorporate music video into my DJ sets where possible. I am inspired by great alternative music. I have mad respect for all the artists I spin at the clubs. I am thankful for what I get to do. It's been a great ride and I feel the journey is far from over. I am most appreciative to everyone who ever attended any of my parties or club nights and danced til dawn with me.

Hi Everyone. We're voting again. I have been nominated in the category of Best DJ Residency. There are so many great categories and amazing nominees including It'll DO Club, and in separate category The Church Dallas/ It'll DO Club, Charlie's Star Lounge, Distorted Heartbeat. May May Graves, Spencer Baxter, Sodi Moore, Rosegarden Funeral Party and in separate category Leah Lane, KNON 89.3 FM Station Produced Page, and in a separate category The Catacombs radio show on KNON 89.3 FM (Jay Gavit), Vivienne Vermuth, along with a ton of other incredible Dallas talent.

Again, my category is Best DJ Residency. I am listed as Byron Laszlo/ Lord Byron - Sons of Hermann Hall. As we all know, my residencies are Panoptikon at Sons of Hermann Hall and The Church Dallas, but don't let that stop you from voting. Last night's Labor Day party at The Church Dallas, Labor Day Weekend with Lord Byron, was freakin' incredible. Great turn out!! Many thanks my friends/the team at The Church for everything you do to make these nights run so well. I especially want to thank my dear friend, DJ Red Vamp, for being with me last night and for taking so many great pictures and video of the crowds. The floor was full at 10 PM and stayed that way all night. Great dance floor energy!! Here is a video a bit later in the night that DJ Red Vamp took. Panoptikon memorabilia:  I found a stack of these old flyers from when I first started PANOPTIKON. We did the photo shoot in the bathroom at the old Club ONE location, which is where it all started, as well as the exit hallway of the club.  I will leave the stack of these at the front door, so please help yourself & grab a little piece of PAN history tonight.
