The City of Dalhart will be hosting the 2024 Downtown Summer Jam, June 15, 2024, starting at 4pm!

Dalhart will be welcoming 4 performers to the stage Downtown! 2024 American Idol contestant and our very own local talent, Aniston Pate. TikTok sensation with over a half million followers, Dzaki Sukano. Up and coming new Country Rock Band out of Pampa, Tx, Ghosts of Gray County. Last but not least, the most popular Notena band in the Panhandle La Obra Nortena.

Along with good entertainment, we will have multiple Food Trucks on site to serve any pallet! Stix will be bringing their food truck and snow cone stand to help beat the heat! Yum Yumz with their Asian Street food, La Casa De Mi Mama’s and Taquieria Chihuahua serving yummy Mexican food. Spaghetti Western with a variety of Italian food, and The Depot Beer Wagon serving ice cold beverages.

Don’t miss out on the fun suitable for all age groups! Come out and enjoy our Bouncy houses and even a Mechanical Bull!

Dear Community Members,

We hope this message finds you well. We need to share some important news regarding our upcoming event. We have rescheduled our event, originally planned for Wednesday, April 24th at Frank Phillips College. The new date will be Friday, April 26th, and will now take place at the Dalhart Elementary School's Kindergarten Registration, located at the DISD's Central Office.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for the late notice. Our team will be present to assist any parents needing to schedule appointments for immunizations for the upcoming year. Additionally, if you or someone you know does not have a primary care physician, we will have new patient packets available to fill out.

Please note, while we are eager to help facilitate these important steps for our community's health, we will not be offering immunizations directly at the event. However, we can help you get scheduled at Dalhart Family Medicine Clinic for an appointment.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Our community's health and well-being are our top priority, and we are here to support you in getting ready for the upcoming year. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you on Friday, April 26th.

Our hearts go out to Dallam Irrigation LLC and everyone affected by the recent fire at their building. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Dallam Irrigation team, their employees, and their families during this difficult time. Thank you Dalhart Volunteer Fire Dept & everyone else that went out for all of your help getting the fire put out.

We are asking for your assistance in our ongoing search to find qualified applicants to participate in the 2024 XIT Rodeo Queen Contest. Please announce the following public service announcement.
Any High School Sophomore, Junior or Senior girl for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year who is interested in competing for XIT Rodeo Queen are encouraged to contact Nick Salas @ 806-333-3254. Applicants must live within a 50-mile radius of Dalhart. They must be unmarried, able to ride a horse and be willing to devote their time and effort promoting XIT Rodeo & Reunion during their reign. The winner of this contest will receive a $3000 college scholarship and approximately $2500 in awards and prizes.
The XIT Rodeo & Reunion Board of Directors recently mailed out an announcement along with entry packets to all area schools. All entry packets are available through Nick Salas or your school office and need to be turned in or postmarked on or before May 15, 2024.
