Please may our community surround sweet Carmen with an abundance of prayers and support 🙏🙏

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that our very own sweet Carmen is in a fight for her life with cancer.

The family is asking for prayers at this time as she is facing the unknown.

She has been a smiling member of our extended family for over 13 years. Her family here at the greenhouse is banding together to offer a few different fundraisers to help the family with the unexpected expenses that have come with the diagnosis.

We have partnered with Branded By Woods to sell these fun shirts that truly depict her spirit, fun & colorful.

Working with Carmen always put a smile on our faces but the days she walked in with her homemade tamales were extra special. So, next Saturday during our Rooted Market her extended family will be on site selling tamales made from her recipe as a fundraiser as well, we invite you to stop by & try them for yourself-you will NOT be disappointed!!! In addition, private donations can be made at the store to be given directly to the family.

Most importantly though, please pray. Our sweet Carmen needs all the love she can get right now.

Just a reminder that our next Talk of the Towns is this Wednesday, November 6th, 6pm in Chrisney. Ashley Willis, Economic Development Director from Pike County, will share experiences of the downturn of the coal industry in Pike County, and Spencer County AEP representatives will be present as well. Talk of the Towns are intended for City/Town officials and community advocates, but all are welcome to attend!
