Department Description
Film4 is Channel 4 Television’s feature film division. Film4 develops and co-finances films and is known for working with the most innovative talent in the UK, whether new or established.
Job Purpose
To provide administrative support to Film4’s Head of Commercial and Brand Strategy and our Head of Digital, managed and supervised by our Marketing and Brand Executive. This would include managing diaries accurately and efficiently, handling incoming telephone calls and queries, booking travel, expenses, invoices and all general correspondence and filing. You will be working closely with the other assistants in the department and will be one of the first points of contact for external enquires. Our expectation is that in due course you will gain experience in distribution and marketing of feature films.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating the diaries of 2 extremely busy Film 4 executives.
General day to day administration.
Supporting ad-hoc requests as prioritised by the Marketing and Brand Executive and the senior Film 4 team
Maintaining and updating the Film4 Database
Produce relevant data and statistics reports as required
Booking weekly travel and international travel when required
Job Factors
Excellent diary management and attention to detail
Good general administration skills gained in a fast paced and demanding environment
Good communication and people skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong research skills to help track and understand a changing landscape.
High level writing skills in delivery of briefs and reports.
Experience of working in a film or digital media company is not important but must have a passion for wanting to work in this area of the film industry.
Be able to prioritise and think ahead
Strong IT skills in MS office
Self-motivated to make the very most of this opportunity and always go the extra mile
An understanding and interest in Social Media
Demonstrate a passion for film and for Film 4.
