The state of Delaware and Nemours have agreed to a new payment model with the state's 120,000 children in the Medicaid program. Nemours will be paid to keep kids healthy, rather than treating them when they're sick. R. Lawrence Moss, MD, president and CEO of Nemours, is excited about the effort but admits it won't be easy. "This is not for the faint of heart, and it's not for everybody," he says. "But we think it's for us, and we think we're going to be successful."

For the second time in less than a year, Risant Health has completed the acquisition of a hospital system. Risant, founded by Kaiser Permanente, has finalized the acquisition of Cone Health, the North Carolina health system. Risant leaders have said they're looking to add more hospital systems in the coming years.

The North Carolina hospital system is the second organization acquired by Risant. Earlier this year, Risant finalized the acquisition of Geisinger.
