Los fondos recaudados por Chef Soiree y Banner Ford Raffle apoyan programas de defensa, asesoramiento, educación e intervención para niños en las parroquias de St. Tammany y Washington.
Estos fondos son muy necesarios para ayudar a atender a más de 1,890 niños al año... y la necesidad sigue creciendo. Actualmente, YSB Youth Service Bureau atiende a un 25% más de niños que hace apenas 5 años. La gestión cuidadosa de este presupuesto les ha permitido reducir el costo por niño atendido en un 20%.

To that end, the Foundation uses its Scholarship Program to support and encourage the academic achievement of Hispanic students at local high schools by providing them with merit-based educational scholarships.
Hoy es la independencia de México!! 🇲🇽 La Guerra de Independencia empieza la madrugada del 16 de septiembre de 1810, después de que el padre MIguel HIdalgo Costilla da el llamado “Grito de Dolores” y termina el 27 de septiembre de 1821 (11 años después) con la entrada triunfal del Ejército Trigarante.. Viva Mexico!!
Septiembre 15 1810 Mexico celebra en este momento “El grito de Dolores” la señal inequívoca del Sacerdote Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla cuando llamó al pueblo misa y gritó “Mexicanos, Viva México, viva la virgen de Guadalupe y muera el mal gobierno”, incitó a los mexicanos a levantarse contra los españoles en el Zócalo.
Septiembre 15 celebramos la independencia de varios países centroamericanos como Nicaragua 🇳🇮, Costa Rica 🇨🇷, El Salvador 🇸🇻, Honduras 🇭🇳y 🇬🇹Guatemala de la colonización española. Pero realmente todos fueron independientes en ese momento?? Continua Leyendo para descubrir que pasó. Guatemala 🇬🇹 Aunque se firma el acta 📜de independencia el 15 de Septiembre de 1821, tras una breve fusión con México, Guatemala forma parte de la Federación de Naciones Centroamericanas. Incluye Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador y Costa Rica. Guatemala finalmente obtuvo su independencia en 1840 , cuando un movimiento guerrillero derrotó al presidente de la federación. Rafael Carrera asumió la presidencia con el apoyo de sacerdotes y terratenientes. 💪 Costa Rica 🇨🇷: Aunque se firmó la independencia este día los Costarricenses no lo supieron hasta qué pasó un mes después, la noticia llegó unas semanas después debido a su lejanía con Guatemala. En el acta del 29 de octubre de 1821, en su artículo 1° dice: “Que se publique, proclame y jure solemnemente el jueves 1° de noviembre la independencia absoluta del gobierno español” Honduras 🇭🇳 El procer Jose Cecilio del valle firmó el acta este dia la cual fue enviada a las provincias de Honduras llegando los pliegos a comayagua y Tegucigalpa el 23 de Septiembre pero no fue sino hasta años después que honduras logro ser un pais libre tra la elaboración de propia constitución 📜como una republica El 05 noviembre 1838. El Salvador 🇸🇻 En Busca acabar con 300 años de colonialismo 👑, el 5 de Noviembre de 1811 se conmemora como el primer grito de la independencia de centroamérica en El Salvador Liderado por miembros de la Iglesia como José Matías Delgado y Nicolás Aguilar, pero no fue sino hasta 10 años después el 15 de Septiembre de 1821 que se firma el acta de independencia de varios países en Centro America Incluidos el Salvador. Nicaragua
