KORN is back in the studio and doing things the classic way.

Guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer spoke to BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show With Daniel P. Carter, revealing the band is tracking their upcoming album entirely on tape:

"We're doing it all on tape. We're all in the room, sweating it out. The tape is rolling. The guy gives us a thumbs up in the window, and we start playing. And all of us are locked in. And if we don't get it right, we rewind the tape and we do it again. It takes more commitment. It's, like, this is how we used to make records. So there's an energy to it that, I think, we like."

The album will follow their 2022 record Requiem, bringing back the raw, analog vibe that fueled their early sound.

Joey Jordison’s final project is finally seeing the light of day. His family has announced the long-awaited release of Open Your Omen, the debut album from VIMIC, set to arrive in September 2025. The group has launched a Kickstarter campaign for fans to support the release. This album is backed by Joey’s family. ❤️🤘

🤘😈🤘 I'm back!!! Not the show I had in mind fer a first being back, but being so late this is just a test run per say as I'm now running off a laptop for the time being. I'm looking to doing my "actual" return show that's gonna be heavy as hell tomorrow night at the usual 10:30 pm time. See ya then 🤘😈🤘

I regret with a deep heart, that this year I am not able to do my "Hell's Gate Halloween" show. This will be the first year without it in my 7 years of DJing, and over the years it has become my top show of the year.

I would like to thank everyone for all the great support I've gotten over the years. I am also currently unable to do my normal shows as well, and still unsure as to when I will be able to get back on. I will tell you this, when I do, it's gonna be one hell of a show to make up for my time away. Until then, keep those horns sharpened and rock on. 🤘😈🤘

I've followed KoRn from their beginning. Even just 4 yrs ago it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to and definitely the loudest by far. At their age, their still killing it. 🤘😈🤘
