WANTED: YOUR STORIES…
Tioga Publishing’s family of newspapers is seeking local stories for several upcoming issues. We encourage you to write your own story, but if you’re not comfortable doing that, you can share your story with a reporter who will write it.
Here’s what we have planned:
**Hunting Guide - Got a story about hunting deer, bear, small game or birds, a seasonal fishing story, even one about hunting camp? We’d love to hear more about it. The Hunting Guide will be included in the Oct. 20 paper; we’d need your stories by Oct. 10.
**I Love My Hometown: Spooky Stories and Haunted Places - Live in a haunted house? Have a favorite spooky place you visit regularly? Encountered an unexplained event that sent chills down your spine? Share as much as you want. The Spooky Stories and Haunted Places publication will be included in the Oct. 27 paper. Stories would be due by Oct. 17.
**Salute to Veterans - Once again, we are honoring all veterans who served - both living and deceased - in our Nov. 10 newspapers. Send in a photo of the veteran, his or her name, branch of service, dates of service and any other information by Nov. 1.
**I Love My Hometown: Holiday Edition - We’re looking for all those warm and fuzzy stories for the season - giving thanks, family and friends, wishes that come true and so on. This selection of Holiday stories will be included in the Nov. 17 edition; send your stories in by Nov. 7.
All stories and any photos can be emailed to [email protected]. If you’d rather share your story in person, stop by our Wellsboro office at 25 East Avenue or call 570-724-2287 ext. 2.
Thanks and we can’t wait to hear your tales of hunting, haunting, patriotism and holidays!
