My mom: I’m not driving either.
Me: Fine, I will…but Trakker…you have got to help me navigate.
Trakker: OK….but I can’t see where we are going!
Me: It’s ok buddy, we have Boat Command….it is just like the Ride Command in our buggies!

Why is it that you use the word “hoarse” when your throat hurts and you talk funny? To me, a horse is a horse and there’s no way a horse can be in your throat.

The Off-Road Mayhem - Gregory Lake event so far has been a great time! Yes, the heat sucks but we are buggy riding, racing and having fun! I can’t wait to see Upchurch perform tonight!

We presented the prize money this morning from my Junior’s Jamboree adults long jump contest two weeks ago!

Thank you to Scott Hendrix, the winner of the long jump contest, for donating his portion of the prize money to a children’s charity of my choice.

I chose to give the $1,325 to a local Corydon kid, Harrison Roe, who has been fighting a rare form of cancer for over a year now. Harrison is currently in the hospital and couldn’t be out here today.

This was an awesome thing to do today and again a big thank you to Scott Hendrix for donating his portion of the 50/50 prize money to Harrison!

Look what they have added to the race schedule for next weekend at the Lake Ozark Offroad Park! "The LOOP"! Guess who is excited now!

We have decided to add a class to the race next weekend. For the Memorial Weekend Race on the 25th.

After much discussion a Junior class will be added to the end of the race schedule. 16 and under. They will run last fall’s course. I’m excited about it and I hope everyone else is too. Let the kids run with the big boys and test their skills. Same rules will apply.

THANK YOU JUST DOESN’T SEEM LIKE ENOUGH! We were excited, proud, and overwhelmed by the amazing response that we received for Jett’s Juniors Jamboree and Safety Clinic. So many people stepped up in a BIG way, between sponsorships, donations, safety lessons, spreading the word, special appearances, hill-killer shows, fireworks, and all of those who helped during the event, both hands-on and behind the scenes. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We were so thrilled with the turn-out! We had 47 Kids registered for the event! And we had countless others who joined in on our ride and safety clinics. This was our first time holding an event like this, so we had no idea what to expect. But we were overwhelmed with the attendance and the excitement! Being our first event, we definitely had a few snags that we’ll have to work through to make things go a little smoother next time. But thank you everybody for your flexibility as we had to make some last-minute changes to keep things moving.
We saw so many kids listening intently to the safety talks, and big smiles on their faces as we did a ride through the LOOP and stopped to watch some hill climbing. Several participated in the long jump contest as well. And even if their machine never left the ground, they were grinning from ear to ear. Others shocked us with their full-sends! It was so much fun to watch! The raffle prizes and giveaways were awesome as well. Crowd participation was phenomenal! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We’ve been talking about holding another event like this, perhaps this fall, or again next spring. Watch for posts down the road. But we’ve had such good feedback from parents and spectators, that we think it should be done again. It was so great to get the kids behind the wheel and start teaching them young how to stay safe while having fun. And it was nice to see so many families enjoying the day together! And new memories and lifelong friendships were made!
We love our SXS community! WAY TO SHOW UP AND STEP UP!
