I DID THIS | So one day a guy walked into the store and we began to chat. It hasn't been an unusual thing, that, but the outcome for sure was unique to me at the time.

It was funny when Owen let me have a pre-edited look-see of the interview. I immediately wrote back and told him that I had to quit listening to myself - not because I don't like hearing my self talk - but I couldn't take the firehose form of how my excited self just had SO MUCH TO SAY in a SINGLE BREATH! So, I asked him to give the listeners some space between my sharing. Heh.

He said he thought I was just being hard on myself. And he did edit some. I watched the whole thing. I knida liked it...;)

RESTARTING | It has been a decade since I've taken the time to regularly produce new art - so - I now have one full day per week dedicated to creating new work. I started with a squiggly line on a blank piece of drawing paper that I probably made 6 or more years ago. The piece has evolved to the state you see in the full color photo over the past 3 weeks. Although I do dedicate a full day to arting - I have found myself several other mornings working on this doodle.

I have a new idea for adding a 3D element to this piece, which I will experiment with over the next couple of weeks. Expect progress photos as i begin that experiment...

The miracle in restarting? I find myself deeply satisfied in the creation of new art, AND it's making all the other tasks in life more joyful and exciting as well... One major impact to our Conundrum House business is that I have redesigned some of the Game Spaces in the Store & Play Library, with another redesign pending in our event space - The Saunders Room.

CALL FOR ARTISTS | to come play with artist Adrienne Fritze in creating artworks for the upcoming Black Ink Mysteries™ Original Story, "The Hader Art Caper"! The event is the last week of April...

The "art challenge" is to either create a new work of art, or modify one of your existing pieces, to incorporate CLUES that are CRITICAL for the mystery to be solved on the evening of the event.

Right now she has two artists on board (herself and photographer Mark van der Pol), and she would love to engage at least another 6 other artists (more even!!) in the process.

The works would be available for sale in the Silent Art Auction, the terms of sale would be a 50/50 split between the artist and the fundraiser for Concordia University's new Arts Program.
