Congratulations to Charles Perry Jr, of Miller High School, as our Student Athlete of the Week! Charles is a senior with a 3.2 grade point average, a member of F.C.A. and a multi-sport athlete for the Bucs in football, basketball, track, and field.
Charles has not decided of where he will attend college next fall. He is currently waiting on several more offers before he makes his announcement official. He intends to earn a degree in mechanical engineering, in hopes of becoming an operator in a refinery or construction company.
In his spare time, Charles enjoys working out and playing video games online with his friends. He has also spent time giving back to the community with greetings at elementary schools and with service volunteering for local businesses.
Charles leads the Bucs basketball team averaging eighteen points a game and has amassed 105 steals on the year.

Congratulations to Tyonna McClary, of West Oso High School, as our Student Athlete of the Week! Tyonna is a freshman with a 3.9 grade point average and a member of F.C.A. She is also a multi-sport athlete for the Lady Bears in volleyball, basketball and track and field. You can also find Tyonna on the sidelines as a cheerleader for the Bears.
Tyonna would like to attend the University of Texas at Austin after she graduates from high school. She plans on earning a degree in health science, in pursuit of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
In her spare time, Tyonna volunteers with toy drives and at the Coastal Bend Food Bank. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing, sports and making Tik Tok videos.
