20 years ago on this day, the world as we knew it, changed dramatically. There was a palpable sadness as I walked into the KIII-TV Newsroom. A devastating act of terrorism more than two-thousand miles away made us all watch in disbelief. And yet in the aftermath of that horrendous attack, we also got to pass along stories of true heroism. We gained a deep respect for firefighters, and all the other first responders. For a relatively brief period, we set aside personal and political differences, and came together as Americans...because we had to! I pray it doesn't take another shock like 9/11 to force that on this nation again.
