TPR-010: Martyr Defiled - Young Gods.

Need I say more? TPR-010 is none other than the UK heavyweights Martyr Defiled! Having shared the stage with peers like Su***de Silence, Emmure, Despised Icon, Oceano, Thy Art Is Murder, and countless other legendary bands, Martyr Defiled helped shape the UK’s deathcore scene during a time when the genre was still gaining international traction. Formed in 2007, they were among the first UK bands to successfully merge American-style deathcore—brutal breakdowns, blast beats, and death metal riffing—with a British hardcore influence.

With deep guttural vocals, chugging riffs, atmospheric/melodic interludes, and crushing breakdowns, “Young Gods” was the most refined & evolved version of their sound. While not as technical as prior releases, this album is more groove-driven & influenced by hardcore with elements of beatdown.

Having just played their last ever set at Ghostfest 2025, I don’t think there could be a better send off than finally getting the rest of their discography on vinyl, starting with YG.

This release is limited to 225 copies, spread across 4 variants, pressed by GGR:

RESISTOR orders have been shipped! Keep an eye on your tracking numbers for updates. And if it still hasn’t been scanned in yet, don’t worry! I’ve noticed after dropping off a large amount of packages at once, it’s pretty common for the PO not to scan them in until they’ve arrived at your home state.

DEPTHS has arrived at TPR HQ! Unfortunately, I’ll be traveling to a nursing conference for work and will be unable to ship them for about another week. However, once I’m back home I’ll begin packing them immediately! Be sure to watch the TPR socials in the coming days for a full reveal! Each variant is absolutely insane.

Turnpike HxC goes on press not long after Depths finishes shipping. Can’t wait to see what intakt does!

Arbiter should round out this cluster of preorders and arrive after Turnpike. Truly sorry for the wait on this one!

Hey all! Just checking back in to give you all some updates. As you might have heard from other labels, dunk has been experiencing some delays. With the amount of new orders, availability of materials, the machinery needed to press 7”, and now dunk fest, the two pressings I have left with them have been continuously pushed back. Unfortunately, there isn’t much I can do in regard to this.

However, the plant has provided me with an updated shipping timeframe for Resistor with the third (3rd) week of June being the target. As soon as I get confirmation that things are shipping, I’ll be back here to let you all know!

Of course, if you have any issues with your order or would like to request a refund, PLEASE message the label and not the band. The band has absolutely no control over this situation, and the last thing they need to is to get harassed when they have to focus on touring. If I hear of ANYONE harassing the band or giving them a hard time, your order will be refunded and you will be permanently banned from purchasing from TPR.

Thanks again for sticking through all the delays. Your unending patience is incredibly appreciated.

🚨 TPR Major Updates 🚨

There have been some big changes in my professional life outside of this label in the last couple of months. As some of you know, I work as a Registered Nurse in the emergency room of my local hospital. Recently, I was recognized by the hospital for catching a mistake missed by doctors and other members of the healthcare team that could have put a patients life in jeopardy. This award has presented me with professional opportunities that have been nothing short of a blessing, but are also keeping me extremely busy even outside of my scheduled work hours. With that, some changes are coming to TPR.

With that out of the way, let’s start getting into specifics with some preorder updates:

•RESISTOR - This was originally supposed to be sent to me in April. Obviously, that time has come and gone. Throughout the month of April, I had attempted to contact Dunk regarding the final shipment. After 3+ weeks of radio silence, I finally heard back from my pressing manager and was told that they were basically slammed with orders and were busy catching up. I was told this project would be on press soon, so keep on eye out for shipping updates. The band has also nearly sold out of the first run of CDs; expect a second pressing to come soon.
•Arbiter - test presses have been approved! All the extra goodies that will be included with orders are starting to arrive from the band as well. A box of the OG CD pressing of ‘Colossus’ has also been found; expect another post on that in the future!
•DEPTHS - print components have been done for quite awhile. All it is now is a waiting game to accumulate the parts necessary to make all of the handmade variants. I’ve put in a request for photos during/after production, so as soon as it goes on press expect some variant teasers!
•Turnpike HxC - Tests will be pressed this week and sent at the beginning of next. CDs arrived at HQ in March and all orders have shipped. The CDs look fantastic; if you’re on the fence, I’d definitely put in an order!

Alright, now for the changes coming to the label. It probably won’t come as a shock that I will be slowing down releases through TPR for the time being. That does NOT mean TPR is shutting down, it simply means that I might only do a small handful of releases a year. I haven’t been churning out releases like crazy anyway, but you’ll definitely notice a decline in announcements. I’ll also only be able to ship orders out Fridays & Saturdays going forward!

With that said, all future releases (excluding one final preorder - the biggest TPR release yet) will be in-hand only. NO MORE PREORDERS. Every record announcement going forward, minus the one I just mentioned will be made only when records are close to/are already in hand. I have two returning TPR bands, a TDON release, and a collaborative effort with one of my favorite labels all planned as in-hand drops.

🚨 Have you been wondering how to access F&F/Wax Mage variants? 🚨

Starting with Take Charge, these cards have been getting slipped into orders. It’s been long enough (with enough of these being out in the wild) that I think it’s time these were officially announced.

This is the TPR F&F card. If you’re lucky enough to receive one of these in your order, you’ve just earned yourself the ability to preorder a F&F/Wax Mage variant. Alternatively, you also have the ability to purchase a F&F/WM variant from any previous release (pending supplies).

Redeeming the card is easy:
•For preorders, you have from the moment it is announced to an hour prior to the drop to contact me about redeeming your card.
•If there are spots available, simply write the name of the record (acronyms are fine) and send in two photos. One of you holding the card and one of the card itself, and submit it either FB or IG.
•For past releases, simply ask me if any copies are available. If there are copies available, you’d redeem the card in the exact same way as mentioned above.

More and more of these will be going out with every order (including CDs). Good luck!

TPR-009: BITE - Longing For Eternal Sleep

Continuing the strictly new music kick I've been on, I've recently come across BITE. I was skimming through new releases when the album art caught my eye; I was immediately drawn in, and after listening to the first half of "Inferno" I was completely enraptured. It goes without saying, but I was blown away by this record. LFES hits like a sledgehammer - a brutal, no-frills slab of metalcore that is nothing short of sheer aggression. A reflection of the album's themes of inner turmoil and existential dread, this record is a cathartic outpouring that confronts the truth that death will find us all.

This release is limited to 225 available copies, spread across 4 variants and an alt cover:

1) "Hands of the Reaper" Dippin Dots - 50 copies.
2) "Beauty of Existence" Chromatic Scale - 50 copies.
3) "Driven By Pain" Trans Fire Orange w/ Black Swirl - 100 copies.
