WHY NO VITAMIN C? Ascorbic acid is the scientific name for Vitamin C. Changing the pH in the shower water to acidic can cause red skin and irritated eyes. Acid water can also damage shower glass and fixtures. The health risks far out way any health benefits.

WHY NO CARBON? Carbon is a cold-water filter. It is most effective at temperature ranges of 50-80 degrees (F). At higher temperatures, carbon becomes ineffective. It will "off-load" and release contaminants into the water. Carbon also can turn the water black or grey potentially staining the tub/shower. Sprite's exclusive shower filtration media, Chlorgon, was designed for hot water, becoming more efficient as the water temperature increases.
