Patterson is a boxer mix and is approximately 2 years old. He weighed 68 lbs upon intake. He’s a super friendly guy and really needs out of the shelter. He’s been with us for almost 2 months. We’re still running the adoption special so his fee is only $60 this month!

As you probably know by now, Randy Travis just released his first single in over a decade, thanks to the use of A.I. He lost his ability to sing a while ago, so it gave all of us the chance to hear his voice again.





The internet seems split about this technology. Most think it's awesome that Randy was able to release a song again, but a lot also worry whether this opens up Pandora's box to shadier uses.





Luke Combs happens to be pretty much in that camp, too. When asked about his thoughts on A.I. and Randy's new song, he said, "I think that's about the best use case scenario for what it has the potential to do."





But he is also hesitant as well, saying, "I think it does open the door for, you know, some things that wouldn't be used in the best way . . . I was super excited to hear that. It sounds incredible. But it is a razor's edge, for sure."

The ACM Awards went down this past Thursday, and while a lot of country stars were in attendance, it was pretty obvious that most of the biggest stars skipped it.





Here are all the stars that weren't there:





1. Morgan Wallen. He has a tour right now, plus some legal issues that might be on his mind. And, let's be honest, he's in a class above having to go to these award shows.





2. Luke Combs. He's also on tour right now, and he doesn't need to go to those things anyway. For Morgan and Luke, it's not that they're too cool for school. It's that they've already graduated.





3. Carrie Underwood. She wasn't nominated for anything, and her residency resumes in Vegas next week.





4. Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks. Both of them co-hosted last year's ACM Awards, and both opted not to attend this year. Maybe they just didn't have any fun last time?





5. Luke Bryan and Keith Urban. Both were not nominated, so they probably would rather kick up their feet than wear uncomfortable dress shoes all night.





6. Megan Moroney. This is probably the biggest surprise, since she had the most to gain from it. She was the leading female nominee and was up for 6 awards, and wound up winning Best New Female Artist. But she's currently opening up for Kenny Chesney on tour, so she couldn't make it.





Kenny still made her feel good by getting her a cake to celebrate the win. Megan said, "I wish I could have been in two places, but Kenny and his road family went beyond to make my first ACM win so special."

Emmy Russell was one of the most talked-about contestants on this season of "American Idol". Not all the talk was GOOD, though. Some fans thought she was coasting on the reputation of her grandmother, Loretta Lynn.





But her "Idol" journey has finally come to an end, and she's at peace. She says, quote, "Before I got eliminated, I really felt like God told me, he was like, 'Emmy, you're not going to be chosen by America, but I chose you.'"





She adds, quote, "You can be yourself and be successful. Don't run from rejection or pain, and facing hard things."
