Are you finding that your podcast isn’t growing as quickly as you had hoped? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. It can often take a lot of hard work, dedication and strategic planning to build a successful podcast.

So what are the primary issues that can cause your podcast to stall in growth? To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of the top four reasons why your podcast may not be growing.

1. You’re Not Building a Social Media Presence

The success of your podcast is heavily dependent on your ability to build a strong social media presence. This means actively engaging with your audience through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other relevant platforms. When you have daily conversations with your listeners, they’ll be more likely to tune into your latest episode and spread the word to their friends and colleagues.

2. You’re Not Creating Quality Content

It’s also important to make sure that your podcast content is of a high quality. If your content is boring, uninteresting or lacklustre, people won’t bother to listen. So be sure to create podcasts that are both informative and entertaining to keep your audience engaged.

3. You Don’t Utilize SEO Techniques

Using appropriate keywords and phrases in the titles of your episodes can make it much easier for people to find your show in searches. It’s also helpful to have transcripts or summaries of each episode which can make it easier for web crawlers to index your show and direct new people to you.

4. You Don’t Track or Analyze Your Data

Finally, you need to pay attention to the data that you’re collecting from each episode. This can give you valuable insight into what works for your audience and what doesn’t. Make sure you track downloads, listens and other relevant metrics so that you can make changes and improve your podcast performance.

In conclusion, there are many potential issues that could be causing your podcast to slowdown in growth. But by tackling each one and taking steps to improve your content and presence online, you should be able to start building up an audience over time. Good luck!

Ways to interview someone on a podcast 🎙️

🎙️Make it all about your guest!
🎙️Use the 80/20 rule. You talk 20% of the time to ask questions, the guest talks 80% answering your question and talking about themselves.
🎙️Use words like “Why? How? When?” that will help contribute to conversations allowing you to expand on the topic.
🎙️Ask questions that may interest you about your guest and their business.
🎙️Leverage the interview as a productive way to pick someone’s brain.
🎙️DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT make it all about you.

It all started with a podcast...

Back in 2013 I launched my first “online radio show” via BlogTalkRadio. That platform worked for some time, but having to do the show “live” every day became very time consuming. In addition, at times the BlogTalkRadio platform would fail me miserably, especially in times of need, and usually when I had a popular guest on.

It was then I learned that you should never depend on a “new” technology when looking to create consistent, valuable content because things change and like me, you could be left holding the bag.

After a 2-3-year hiatus, a new technology came on the scene and it was THE DEAL, it was called “Blab” it was awesome because it allowed you to host a “LIVE” video show via livestream and have guests join you in different video chat windows for what was an all-around highly engaging experience. Well, that was until Blab flopped and folded and the platform was no longer. So once again I found myself out of the podcast space due to the failure of some company I really had nothing to do with. I learned right then and there not to depend on software(s) that I couldn’t control and people I didn’t really know to dictate my success with a podcast.

Late last year but I decided that I was was going to relaunch my show, for the 3rd time. This time I was going to control the entire process from A-Z.
